Hello guys from the USA. I got my hands on a set of carbs that came with a large cache of parts and can't put my finger on what they came from. They are 26mm Mikuni CV downdraft type with a mechanical pull enricher. Any ideas?
They're Mikuni BDS26's but sorry not sure what bike use's a pull choke like that @Woolfe , those carby's are Mikuni BDST28's off a 3LN6 or 3LN7 FZR250 or FZX250 Zeal
Just looked on the net and i reckon they're off a Yamaha XJ600. You'd have to compare the main, pilot and starter jet sizes to work out what year bike they are off.
That design with the choke bolted onto the carby bowl is exactly what the 3LN6/7 have. Measure the inner diameter of the throttle body where the carbs sit in their boots. 28.5mm = FZR250R, if they are 26.5mm then they're from a Zeal. Also take a bowl off and check the jet sizes, that will tell you for sure. Then take diaphragm cap off and look at how the needle is held in. Black plastic spacer under needle and cap with spring screwing into the slide is the FZR250R design.
