If I can find some I might talk to a buddy and see how hard it would be to create a fibre glass mold. From what I can see these things might be worth a limited run for people who want them

There are fibreglass panel producers that may be able to offer off the shelf mouldings or quotes on reproducing moulds from your existing plastic ones, especially if they feel there is a market for further orders. I was able to acquire a full set of fibreglass panels for a 1984-85 Suzuki GSXR750 several years ago, even still had the slightly visible decal marks making the decals easy to locate when the painting was finished. I found the fibreglass ones actually better than plastic because they are easier to sand, repair etc. And of course, stronger. I believe both BMW and Ducati used fibreglass on their earlier fairing bikes. Just as a comparison I saw a plastic lower (under the bike) fairing for my SRX250 on eBay. The seller wanted $A500 for it. You could justify making your own fibreglass moulds to save that kind of money.

Ok, so the 3ln3 and up, other than the tag on the side fairings, is there anything else stopping them going onto a 3ln1?

I had the front fender plastic welded but when it came back it was offset so close to the wheel. Would still had to of painted it but hit a sheep and snapped off again. Was thinking of getting an aftermarket chepo, cutting it in half and getting it welded again.

Have you thought of maybe the FZ400 / FZR fairing parts and use a bit of kiwi ingenuity?
