I'm pretty stoked with it all. The seller almost brought it to my door from W.A. too as he was visiting family near where I live. I also got some useful advice from him about fitting the Pro-Arm to a MC21 frame, which requires a sleeve. It will be tricky to get the rest of it though. I'm hoping I can find a Brembo caliper for the rear but last time I looked they were $500 or so. A bit out of the price range.

Wish there were more two stroke where I am.... parts are few and far between.
I've had decent luck with miyabeeplustltd-jp on ebay. If your patient, they'll put up mc28 stuff soon enough.

Post up a thread if you do the 28 conversion.

Standard Brembo rear calipers are about $100 new, so $500 is just madness..
The mounting bolts are 85mm between centres.

The caliper bracket Tyga sells has an 85mm pitch, which I'm guessing is the centres? (I have no idea what pitch refers to on calipers). So if I machined a hole on the caliper slightly wider it should be alright. But the annoying thing is the Brembo logo is upside down but for $400 in difference I can handle that. The bleed screw is also upside down but I don't think that matters. I also I have a steel braided rear brake line (meant for a CR125, didn't fit) that might work on the MC21 too meaning the brakes are done!

Yep pitch is centre to centre of holes easiest way to measure is outside of one to inside of the other!!!

These Brembo calipers are often mounted upside down, as mine will be. They do not make this with the logo reversed, or not that I am aware of.
You lost me with the point about modifying the caliper. You want to use your existing bracket to fit the standard rear Brembo? Face of bracket to disc centre needs to be 16mm. You need to check that if you are trying to use an OEM bracket.

I was planning on getting the under-slung Tyga bracket for maximum poser points.

What does that mean then? You are buying a bracket to fit the off the shelf 85mm caliper you do not have to mod anything.

Well the caliper is 85mm and the bracket is 84mm (the Tyga one is designed for a different Brembo caliper, looks smaller). Well, I guess slightly narrower on one hole. Anyway, shouldn't be too difficult. I found that caliper for sale on MotocrossGiant which is convenient because I need some dirt bike stuff too.

Thanks Phil - been very busy with work unfortunately. Spent today mocking up the SST250LC to see what needs to be done Fitted the FT400/500 running gear to the 250 frame for the increased power from the liquid-cooled CRM250 engine. Getting there - trial fitting the engine adapters next.

Done a lot lately. Took the girlfriend for a few short rides as a pillion on Jack on Friday night. My first time taking a pillion went very well - no falling off or dropping the bike!

Bought her an appropriately-sized helmet and gloves yesterday, then fixed Nix and took her for a test ride after replacing the rear monoshock. Handling is much improved!

went for a highway ride today to give Nix a proper test then overshot a familiar corner on the way home and ended up on soft dirt. Kept her upright and managed to recover fine, so while I clearly need to take it a bit easier on corners in general, it's testament to the improved handling! :D

try looking through the corner, wrong target fixation will put you in the **** every time! just look at where you want to go and 99.9% of the time you will end up there!

Funny thing is I do know that. I think I was looking too far ahead on the twisties, as I technically undershot rather than overshot - inside a left-hand corner.
Still better than being in the path of oncoming traffic!
