Lol cheers.....ive just tuned the carbs, and reassembled the bike, i'm going to put the fairing back on tomorrow, and hopefully go for a spin on her. its been a long time coming, and the whole job has been a toughie for sure. Would I do it again, knowing what I know now? YES!....ive totally enjoyed every second. Their have been times when I just had enough, the many snapped, rusted bolts & fixings, taking something off and having to put many hours in just to get it back to its former glory, then doing the same thing the very next day.....

It did seem that the deeper I delved, the more I had to do, then there was the 'joy' of not being able to find parts, so I had no option than to restore...but ive loved it, I will be sorry to see her go....NEXT!

Careful, this restoring of old bikes can become habit forming. Now what's on ebay today????

Isn't it grand when a plan comes together, from where you've come to where you are now.....hard to imagine it's the same bike.
Looks awesome mate........great job, now go and enjoy "THE RIDE"..........you deserve it :thumb_ups:

thanks gents, slight tweaking needed to the carb balancing, I've had her up to 60mph (100kmh) she wants to go faster, but is slightly hesitant, and i get a Red SPEED light on the dash.... what does that mean?

the red light was Japanese law to let the rider know thye had gone over 80km per hour, it was only around for a short period, I think from 1988 - 1989

I had an argument on another forum with someone who said it was a shift light., I asked him to show me it working in first gear.... he backed down quite quickly after that.. :lolsign:

Thanks gents. I thought it was something silly. And I did try to downshift and test the 'change gear' theory. The flashing red light is very annoying.

I love restoring bikes, sadly my wife insists that this has to go, And it definitely has to go if i want a new project. It's going in for the MOT very soon.
What do you good people think she is worth? (The bike, not the missus lol)

Probably a stupid question but the GSXR250R is pretty rare, how does it compare to the others in its class???

It's officially up for sale, where is the best place to advertise it? I could do with worldwide exposure for her.
