Looking for a reasonably low k Suzuki across motor minus carbs. my motor is running ok but want a back up for my shed just in case i need to do a weekend swap. Most wreckers in NSW had them, i got one with ~40,000 alleged km for $500 flat. Also recall getting lots of replies from wreckers in QLD and VIC off of findapart too.
Bummer! Just waiting for pay to clear as i found a across motor with 30k on eBay in my area! Was about to buy it now and someone had to purchase it as i was viewing it Was only $450. Back to the drawing board lol. Also went to a local wreckers and they want $900 for a 65k motor. I think that's way too steep as i only want the motor not carbs. Has anyone on this forum had a full rebuild on a 4cyl motor of any kind and if so what was the damage and what did you get done? I really love my across and plan on keeping it so im considering a rebuild but really don't want to go over 1k for a full rebuild. Im just looking for a ballpark figure for a 4cyl dohc rebuild..... :icon_scratch: Cheers! Just looking at auctions and found a motor. Has anyone on this forum ever imported something from Japan and how much does it cost? also is it safe and reliable?
my last motor i imported from japan went well, it was attached to a few other things, and i pick it up this friday 25th janurary it saved me a lot of unwanted grief and pain repairing my 21 year old suzuki across :Thumbs_up:
