G'day all, my name's Pete and my current ride is a '94 grey import Honda v-twin Magna (VT250C).

Before buying this, I hadn't ridden much for the past 20 years, but caught the bug again after my two youngest kids started riding.

I was looking for a bike that was comfortable for commuting 52km each way (mostly highway and motorway, Blue Mountains - Western Sydney), economical to run, wasn't too boring in the styling department and was cheap enough to fit a very limited budget.

The Magna is a reasonable approximation of that.:D

When you get a chance perhaps a photo of your ride.

    Thanks for the welcome guys.

I've raised the final gearing from 14/38 to 15/36 to decrease the freeway buzz and it normally has a screen to cut the breeze.
I've got an old Krauser rack that I,m going to mount to carry my work bag, it just gets strapped to the pillion seat at present.

If anyone is interested, you could translate this page from Honda's Fact Book,
    http://www.honda.co.jp/factbook/motor/V-TWIN/19940600/007.html
it details the changes made to the Xelvis engine (same engine as the Spada?) to suit a cruiser.
