41 on rear, ill have to let you know about the front. I like the current setup for lakeside as I have just enough top end for the straight. However I will get something different for Stanthorpe as it is a shorter track, Maybe 43-44 ? As for morgan park I will have to check if the 41 is enough or drop lower. Any suggestions guys ?? I do like the look of dem gold sprockets that tyga offers as well hahah.
Yesterday I had my first crash on the NSR at a track day at carnel raceway at Stanthorpe. The accident was completely my fault, I powered out of corner to fast and ran off track, then I tried to correct and ran back on track where the bike flipped over and trapped me on my back. The damage is in the photos below. In short I am ok with minor scratches and sore leg. Thank god for back protectors otherwise I would be in a world of hurt. Damage bill for the bike. New rearsets New levers new screen The fibreglass can be fixed and I am looking for a new paint scheme I am thinking deep gloss purple with white stickers and White rims. I think it would look good and be easily repairable. New race helmet and leathers are in order as well. For my first crash I was 'pleased' with how it went. I was going to crash eventually and all the things I damaged I eventually wanted to change. Now just have to get my arse into gear and start saving. If anyone knows places who sell rear sets for a decent price let me know. Otherwise please comment on what type of colour scheme would look good
ouch! glad to hear your alright! crashing is all about learning, i've been told if your not crashing your not trying hard enough damage looks minor mate, i'd say quick patch and get back out and worry about the paint before the season start! if your chasing leathers, have a look at panik racing on facebook....
Nathan I'm glad your ok. All part of the learning curve mate. I'll see if I've got some rear sets. I've just put another one back together.
Certainly took some chunks out of the gear and the bike .. better them than you ...... at least your boxers look undamaged
I have a RHS step if you need it (for MC18). There are cheaper ones on eBay if the Tyga ones are too expensive. The benefit of Tyga ones though is you can get replacement parts.
Thank you all for the well wishes. I think I am going to grab the tyga ones even though they are quite expensive and have no adjustment, they do have excellent build quality and you are able to buy replacement parts for them as well which I have a feeling I am going to need. I began stripping all the fairings at my mates last night and getting them ready to repair. If you guys would like photos and comments of the repair process just ask. thanks again for all the well wishes !
