Well, I had a fire sale with some of my bikes, the garage is looking super empty so I thought that I really should buy a Van to pick up bikes as I still cant back the trailer, so I dutifully searched Gumtree, Car Sales and many other sites. My goal was a Toyota Hiace LWB Van, but they were a minimum $5k with over 400,000 kms on them.

I did find tonight an unregistered 2005 LWB 2.7l diesel Kia Pregio which was very cheap, it has 101,000kms on the clock and has a few body sins which don't really bother me too much.... I will pick up on Saturday and start cleaning it up in anticipation of getting some rego so I can use it to pick up bikes.

Super stoked.... this one even has AC and a wireless !!!

Cool, you will be able to fit 2 of your $500 specials in there. Just needs some wheel tracks and tie-down anchors now.

well lots of work has been happening this week, a new Windscreen went in on Tuesday, the Phil popped down and did the obligatory run to Supercheap to get oil and filters and set about giving her a good service. Phil also arranged for 5 new Kumho tyres, alas they were all shot, I hate paying for all 5 , but I want this old girl to safe so it has to be done.

Today we replaced all the fan belts as the alternator belt was a bit ordinary. While we were picking up the belts from Repco, they had a JVC head unit with Bluetooth for $59 as it had been a display unit, the price tag said $309 so I thought bugger it, that's cheap and nabbed it, I figured some clarion speakers should go in as well.

It was like I was 17 again fitting car stereos and speakers, the good news is that industry wised up and made adapters from factory looms to the head unit, it made life much easier, no cut wires or twisted wires :)

Only afew more jobs to go then it will be on the road, I need to :

Replace damaged front bumper and grill
Mount the motorcycle rack and tie down points.
