timing does not change, plug -use a standard or iridium- i have tried both and iridium fouls less and lasts longer, adjust the tappets and can be done at home, air filter is foam so rinse in kerosene and dry out and put back on. change oil regularly with a good bike oil and the filter is held in with 2 x6mm nuts. pull out and wash in petrol and meant to be re used. unable to buy new now except from crossfire dealers.hope this helps.
The oil filter's are pretty common, they are used in lot's of bike's Some have a steel mesh filter with steel cage, other's have the paper type element's Make Model 2005 - 2008 Hyosung GT250 2010 Hyosung GT250I 2010 Hyosung GT250IR 2005 - 2008 Hyosung GT250R 2004 - 2008 Hyosung GV250 2010 Hyosung GV250I 2007 - 2008 Hyosung RX125 1983 - 1986 Suzuki ALT125 1985 Suzuki ALT185 1996 - 2000 Suzuki AN125 2007 - 2009 Suzuki AN400 Burgman 2009 Suzuki AN400A Burgman ABS 1983 - 1990 Suzuki DR100 1982 - 1984 Suzuki DR125 1982 - 2000 Suzuki GN125 1982 - 2000 Suzuki GN125E 1983 Suzuki GS125ES 1989 Suzuki GS125ES 1999 - 2005 Suzuki GZ125 Marauder 2007 - 2009 Suzuki LT-Z90 Quad Sport 1983 - 1984 Suzuki LT125 4x6 Quad Runner 1986 - 1987 Suzuki LT125 4x6 Quad Runner 1984 - 1987 Suzuki LT185 Quad Runner 1983 Suzuki SP100 1982 - 1983 Suzuki SP125 plus lot's more The part number is HF131, 40mm high, 44mm wide and 13mm i/d http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_...il+filter.TRS0&_nkw=hf131+oil+filter&_sacat=0
megelli,s have a steel [stainless] mesh or nylon mesh meant to be washed in petrol and re used, not replaced.non of my bikes or wrecks have a paper replacement.
Yeah it would look like this pit bike filter, same dimensions http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lifan-15...423533?hash=item51e599f66d:g:~J8AAOSwQaJXSPQ3 They are ok for stopping bigger bit's from going through the oil pump, gear's and bearing's etc, but the paper filter's are a lot finer and remove a lot more than the mesh one's
That is false economy. If there's a paper element which will fit - USE IT. They have plenty of flow capacity so that's never going to cause a problem. I've worked with a lot of Italian stuff which usually have a wire mesh filter. Where i've been able to fit a paper element, engine life has improved dramatically. On the race Aermacchi singles I used to specialise in, big end life was more than doubled.
Is the idle set too low ? You can use the idle adjuster screw to up it Did you pull the spark plug out and check its condition ?
drain the fuel tank into a bucket and see if water in it, change the spark plug to a new one, wash the air filter in keosene and dry it, drop the carby bowl in case it has crap in it,pull all electrical connections apart one by one and use contact cleaner then vaseline on them. remember the cdi is low down behind carby.remember water =corrosion.
try ebay for a used one or a crossfire dealer[ one in coffs harbour]. have you cleaned your old one?might have some water or crap in it?
You can try gumtree for Craig in Nsw or search Megelli Australia Facebook there is someone still actively answering!
Did you have any luck? Our mechanic in Katoomba, Eli Wright Motorcycles, fixed our Megelli, we got the parts ourselves online from the Gumtree seller. I know it's a fair way from St Mary's but at least there's someone. He did a good job too. The whole bike runs much better.
