Hey ladies and Gents just thought i would start a thread on performance upgrades for the megelli :D seing the megelli hasnt been around long and hasnt made much of a name for itself there hasnt been many perfomance parts companies customising parts for the megelli yet so ive had abit of difficulty finding anything so far. On my list of things to hunt down is a Jet Kit, a Big Bore kit to bring it out to 300cc, Iridium or atleast platinum spark plugs, front/ rear sprockets with better chain, A performance CDI, exhaust system and intake or atleast airfilter. So far all i have found is:

    JET Kit: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Megelli-LC-2 ... 4cf83dcb8c
    There about $40

Performance CDI: Under $50 - Everywhere cos there universal for a 4 stroke 250cc so just ebay or google it.

    Exhaust Kit: $499 at - http://www.motorcyclemoods.com/shop/ite ... itemid=161

    Rear Sprocket: $100 at - http://www.motorcyclemoods.com/shop/ite ... itemid=157

Turbo Charger and fuel injection: LOL WICKED found this site just screwin round but yeah if your that way inclined to strap on some engine blowing turbo power for $300 minimum there is this place:

    http://www.chinese-parts-canada.com/tur ... ction.html

I appreciate speed as much as the next lunatic on a bike but i dont enjoy the  spine chilling feeling of the back tyre slipping out from under you when there is a sudden boost in power when gunning round a corner

Thats all so far untill i can get some info on the engine from Stoney Creek :D

    Cheers Tony

I'm in the same boat as you ! I just recently purchased a Megelli 250R SE in yellow from Stoney Creek. It goes well thus far. I was a bit hesitant at first about the Megelli as i've seen some reviews on youtube stating they had some manufactoring defaults such as the 'horn going off when locking the steering left' but they must have fixed this on the new 2011 models as this does not happen. The kickstand hitting the floor when on low left turns however is yet to be tried as im just learning. I will look to eventually put an exhaust system on to improve the sound etc and had no idea where to look as the bike is quite new. Thanks for posting the link! will definately check it out.

I have asked Motorcycle Moods to join up the forum and share what they have in regards to aftermarkets parts for the Megelli, under $500 for a complete exhaust including headers is a damm good price and the dyno graph shows some good increases.

I'm trying to determine how much I need to spend on aftermarket parts. I can't seem to find an exhaust kit for the megelli nor do I which performance CDI to buy (ebay). Theres nothing on the motorcyclemoods site but the sprockets.  :-[

Megelli being the new boy on the block, accessories will be limited for a certain period until a sound footing is set, in other words decent credentials. I think we have all heard about some early manufacturing issues associated with this brand, and I for one hope that the bugs or gremlins get sorted sooner rather than later.
The amount of new members on the forum suggest that the Megelli is gaining acceptance and parts manufacturers will respond accordingly with upgraded gear, just got to patient.
Tony made an interesting observation aboutthe bike giving way whilst accelerating through a bend or corner. We can't blame the bike, it's the rider who's making it happen.

A few weeks back there was 2 exhaust options listed on the motorcycle moods website, now there is none. I have sent them an e-mail asking if they will be stocking them again

I just got a funny email from the Importer asking me whether i was interested in being on their shortlist of available accessories.
They have been overwhelmed and apparently stock is very limited for the season so they not sure when next manufacturing batch will start. So thus why the games and hush hush!

What is available from the email is:
    Carbon Huggers
Carbon covers that replace matt black panels (under the tank, tank cheeks, ignition cover etc etc)
Racing Seat Cowls (clipon types and screw on)
    Double Bubble Screens
Clear Screens (Talk about being opposite as tint is stock standard)
    Adjusterable Pazzo levers
    Adjusterable Rear Sets
    Racing Shocks
    Billet 1/4 twist throttles
    Koso RX2N Tacho
    Billet Brakes
    Radial Front Brake Pump
Slipon and full system mufflers (assuming this is the popular one)

Though pretty silly of them as hard to sell something if theres no photos or results to speak!
Time will tell i suppose will keep everyone posted!

    Hi,again

Just wondering if anyone has put a performance CDI in there Megelli. Just wondering if they ping at high Rpm with aftermarket CDI's.

I'm look at the Casoli Moto at first as a first CDI/Base Test but sure it's a China job so.... was thinking  NCY JR100 Adjustable DC CDI but need the numbers to know what would be the most Degrees of advancement would safe be to prevent pinging.

I think jumping the gun with the CDI getting too technical but want to be safe before i buy one and tinker with the bike

    Cheers Guys

    Stef

    Hey Mike
Sound, fit an aftermarket exhaust,  as for enhancements, some have said that an aftermarket CDI will increase its performance but I havnt met anyone who has done this. Try www.motorcyclemoods.com.au for aftermarket parts
    thanks

Motorcycle Moods was an offshoot of Motorcycle Importers who have now gone tits up, alas if you want performance upgrades for your Megelli, then you have to look in south east Asia.

    Cheers
