Wow GI, what a pain. I still have a spare engine up here. PM me if I can help in some way with any parts. Though splitting the block was something that completely left me with me scratching my head. I never successfully cracked it 2!
Cheers thanx for that ..... the FizzFactory is expecting a couple of 3LN1 engines coming from Toowoomba eventually Hopefully I wont have to crack the motor open ... I was going to, but theres enough to do as it is
It will be the new flying grasshopper ..... it looks in good shape ... well the bodywork does from the pics Hasnt run for 2 years .... all the usual
Sorry Grey, you only have to look at all the gasket gunk spewing out of it and the butchery to know that it has to come apart. Jump in, you will be fine. Just find all the hidden crankcase bolts first.
take off tank, sand off, dimple in and solder with electric soldering iron. wash tank out first and tin the metal in smaller circles around the hole.then solder the rust hole in the dimple.
Just went up the top of the road and back (not much fuel in it as its still slightly leaking) Started first go ... idled nicely after a second of choke ...... took off like a lear jet with beautiful gear changes from the new clutch 16000 beans in second (74 in a 50? ) Knock ? wat knock?
Just the usual squeaks and rattles ..... but thats today and being an FZR, tomorrow could be another thing . It was just a short sprint to the top past the school .... Im certainly not in the mood to push it home .... maybe Ill go the test track t/m...... but it run the best it ever has ... go figure
Have a little faith my friend............oh, forgot you have a fizzer????? Here's hoping you haven't jinxed yourself and your life with the FZR can be cordial Have you ever considered that the bike simply wanted a break in the shed....stranger things have happened Fingers crossed and you get a good decent run from here forward, failing that there was a Hyo for sale...just joking!!
The flying fizzball into the service bay for a few tweaks ready for the Texas 2 step New ignition if it gets here on the slow boat from China https://www.aliexpress.com/item/FZR...2498241257.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.53.gEDCVI A cut and polish for the chain ..... and a wheel clean to stay out of that Dirty Wheel Club mob Some new Delo honey to keep the engine noises to a minimum A few repairs on the tail plastics And these little goldies to fix the dead throttle syndrome
