You can get it for under $2.40 including delivery from ebay china or aliexpress, or local seller's are asking a bit more.

Happiness is a pulled apart FZR

The end choke plunger was hanging off and a screw was loose on the diaphragm cap ..... good start :)

Bit of stray excreta around too :idk:

Needles ... left is original ... right is keyster ..... what difference is a fat washer going to make compared to the skinny keyster one?

I would expect a significant difference. Cannot see much wear on the OEM needle but the pic is not close enough to tell.

Skinny washer/spacer will make it a bit leaner from 1/4 throttle to 3/4 throttle
Are all 4 Keyster spacer's the same thickness ?

Those washers are not from the keyster kits, they are from my set of 3LN1 carbs. As a guess I would say the thickness is set at the factory or people swap them out for tuning.

Yea first thing I thought too ... not a mark on it .... Im sure they were pretty marked up when I rebuilt the carbs originally

I think Ill stick to the fat one .... apart from the 'no rev' glitch, bike was running well

I just found the leftover Keyster kits with @Grasshopper 3LN3 old needles and tubes in them..... they have the thick spacers like mine ... and his must have the new Keyster spacers in there.

Good one :) ..... I wonder how they compare to the others

@Linkin ..... do u have your Keyster boxes there with the leftovers as u didnt use them?

the plastic shim difference looks like it may equate to about one notch change on the needle height, not earth shattering on the scale of potential changes

Sounds better and running smoother but needs a good road test

#1 slide seems a bit lazy

My number 3 carb was a bit like that, when i put the temp gun on the exhaust it was running about 30° cooler than the other's.
I richened up the mixture screw on cyl 3 and got them all close and that must have raised the vacuum to that cylinder and they all move the same now

Took a punt on a Chinese ignition .... seems to be of good quality but needed a bit of a remodel to fit .... at least now my key wont fall out during those high speed wheelies

Steering lock takes a bit of fiddling to get in , but it was like that before anyway

Different bottom section so took them apart and clean up the original bottom section and refit onto the new barrel

Bit of grease in the workings and wire in the original plug
