Yep, it is a killer. You blast and wash with detergent, rinse, dry and blast again then damn another missed spot, so you blast again and this time you are sure that you got it all, nope, again and again and again. It is really tempting to just say f#ck it and paint, but then you think about how you will feel if it has a great black smudgy bit. Add to that I am not a good painter, I tend to panic when I have the gun in my hand :)

    Yeah, in my dreams.

I don't see sharp casting parting line's or dag's on any of those part's, does that mean you de-dagged and smoothed them all out too ?

Keep the momentum, you've got a cheer squad barracking for you, though we're not wearing skirts and sporting pom poms, THANK CHRIST.

Perhaps the promise of that picture, erm I mean threat, can propel you forward

Aaaaah no. That would just be going a bit far even for me. I did file and sand scratches and blemishes off the covers though :lolsign:

Haha, funny you should mention inspiration. When you see the finished article there will be a member of the fairer sex included (lots of those here) and skirts are definitely on the menu, not sure about the pom poms though.

    Messin About:
Everybody seems to get so much done, unlike me. :(
So here is some of the process of making a lower sub frame mount for the right hand side . I have finished that piece and I'm working on the two top mounts now but I have to do about 6 to 8 hours work to get them finished. Then off to the powder coaters. That will be a happy moment, that is if I don't decide to get the tank finished first.

Yamaha Gives You Wings (not any more):

Now what was I on about? Six more hours, in my dreams.
Anyway send to powder coat soon.

    Started like this

    Then lots of work later.

    and now

the screws and bolts are to protect threads for the powder coating.

    Sneak Peak:
Got my frame back from powder coating. I am going to make an adjustable stand for it so I can keep working in comfort. In the meantime here a couple of quick and dirty pics.

Those photos are completely and utterly lacking in anything which is even remotely dirty - it's all so pretty and clean

Well the bike has to be pretty and clean to match the girls that will be in the finished photos. :)
