FirstPurchased.jpg Well, finally found a Honda that has not been completely butchered. Non original paintwork so I don't know much about it until I can get it from relative's house to here. In any case it will be fine for my purposes.

This is going to be my Konica Minolta Honda. Based on the 2005 MotoGP bike and the limited edition CBR600.
    konica-minolta-honda-confirms-2006-package.jpg KonicaMinolta600_0.jpg
Like my R4 it will only have a half fairing. Exhausts will go under the seat.

    Update:
After being inspired by Project Binky, I am going to have a shot at the YouTube thing. Since I cannot interest the viewers with a bunch of words about what I want to do, I engaged the services of an artist. In the first video of the series I will show the drawing and explain the details. Having said all that:

I will ride it a little but mostly to as a base to make bits and pieces for. I'll start work on that as soon as I can get it here. When I finish with the bits I'll get it painted and spruce it up. At least I don't have to hack the frame up like my Yamaha.
It cost me the equivalent of 2240 AUD but that doesn't mean much when there are none to buy.

Nope, elephants on the road = wild elephants with attitude. Bananas would be the kind of thing tourists would try whilst trying to make a Youtube video, just before they get crushed. A bit like the american tourists that go swimming in croc infested waters in Aus.

HUH you took me seriously, really?
I think more American tourists should swim in croc infested waters though, just screen them as Trump voters beforehand

I'll bribe an elephant with peanuts or bananas with my remaining hand after I finish hand feeding great whites in the surf without any cage whatsoever

MC22 arrived. Everyone shakes their head in disbelief but nobody knows anything about motorcycles so you have to expect that. It is quite trashy but most of it is there without any hideous body kits. Take it for a ride soon and see what other problems there are.

Well it won't need a cam chain. It has 1001771 as a frame number and MC14E-1141?90 on the engine. Bit hard to see the engine number so that might be wrong ... @kiffsta

Took it for a ride. Engine feels good, not blowing smoke and chassis feels straight. Suspension, tyres, hand and foot controls all feel terrible, as expected. The speedo shows 57000 km for what it is worth.

Cool, It is an L model , if you have a look on the rear sub frame between the right hand fairing, you should see a sticker with the paint code so you can see what livery it left the factory in

Thanks @kiffsta, I checked that and it is the grey-black one on the RH side of the list, but I will be changing it to something else anyway. So if the fuel tap is horizontal does that = Off? and what oil filters do you happy Honda owners use? I bought some Chinese mirrors off eBay since I have none, hope they are not total junk.

    Bent Footpeg Brackets?
This is the view of my LH footpeg bracket. It is about 6mm from the swingarm. The RH one is pushed in about 20mm from the face where the bolts are fitted. Is this normal? @kiffsta or any other MC22 owner??

Oil smells a bit fuelly, best lift off the tank and take a peek.
First of all, apart from the mandatory wrong screws etc, I find a fuel pump just sitting under the tank, fascinating.
    FuelPump.jpg
Best check the air filter element too.
    RaceFilter.jpg
Picture tells a thousand words and all that.
I checked inside the fuel tank and it is excellent, has been replaced at some stage with a good one.

The back of the exhaust is very black so I am expecting that the float height, main jets, and needle position will all have been made richer to match the 'HRC' air filter and 'racing' slip on muffler. To say nothing of the thinner air here in Thailand vs the much cooler Japan.
