You mean I can begin to right the sins of the past. The pump, well with all that extra power from the HRC air cleaner element they will need more fuel. How about my footpeg brackets, can I safely assume they are bent?

Thanks @kiffsta. Degrees of bentness, I am guessing that the distance shown in my pic is about 6mm and in yours 10-12.

Yours does look a little more bent, they do taper in , but yours looks excessive

    Noob question for the day.
My fuel tap has 3 positions off, on and res. It also has 2 outlets for small hoses, one of which I assume is the vacuum take off and the other I do not know.
I do not know which position is off, on, or reserve and I do not know which outlet is for the vacuum. The manual I have shows MC14 model which is different. All advice appreciated.

The MC22 one does not look like that and I have an MC14 manual with nice pics. Anyway as it turned out I popped it off and the diaphragm is kaput and someone put gasket goo on it. I just ordered a Chinese jobby off eBay.
The Tygon fuel hose fits well, so there is something good.

The vacuum line comes from cylinder 1 to the petcock

    From memory

Short arrow is on, middle is off, long arrow is reserve , there should be a sticker on the frame to show where the petcock should point to

Thanks Kiffsta, just what I feared. I bought a Daytona oil filter from Webike and it comes with the o-rings. Need an air cleaner element now, any suggestions?

I had a look and think about my fairing today. The vents are just cosmetic. I thought they were real. Such a lot of bother for no reason at all. This is not my bike by the way. Mine looks like a scrappy mongrel.

So 3D scan your airbox lid, modify the design to accept the vents and have one 3D printed :thumb_ups:

Do the vents at least output in the vicinity of the airbox intake?

Well that could work but 'scan your airbox lid' is easily said and very difficult (as in expensive) to do. I have an idea but need to sleep on it.

They don't output anywhere, just run into a dead end. The airbox intake is behind the steering head.

There's heaps of camera and phone based 3D capture programs, some even free as in legally free, I've done drone based 3D capture and terrain reconstruction.
There's some options here - basically their photo processing software which can do a fine job of the model under the correct circumstances
    https://3dscanexpert.com/autodesk-remake-discontinued-becomes-recap-photo-alternatives/
I'll search for a free alternative for you

Basically drawing white lines on a black airbox will give required detail to capture the form because of the intersection in detail between frames.
They can be surprisingly accurate but it helps to pay attention to lighting for detail

The fizzer ones do the same, just feed into the space below the tank and nowhere near the airbox intake, my assumption is for a cooler air feed to dilute the hot airflow from the radiator

Well I am actually buying a 3D printer but that is another story. I am aware of some scanning options and have tried a few of the free versions.

Some of those 3D Metal printer's look nice, imagine what could be made with them

See what they're punching out with the sintered metal laser 3D printers at the CSIRO - full blown aircraft parts and the like - truly impressive
