No need to beat the other bike off the line as it was a Sprint no a Drag race. As long as you don't get a red light you can have a zero reaction time. I was only concentrating on getting off the line as I had never ridden the bike before and it was a lot different from my 998 Ducati that I was also sprinting that day.

One of your time slips says you did 59feet in under 0.2sec.... Something looks amiss. Reaction time 2.1, 60ft time 2.3.

I better get organised for august, too. All bike meet just up the road, a couple of hours each way.

Reaction time is from when the lights tell you to go until you break the beam. 60ft time if from when you break the beam until you break the 60ft beam. I am sprinting not drag racing.

What's the difference between sprinting and drag racing? High heel? :-D
There still seems to be a timing error.

A sprint winner is the fastest time. A drag winner is first to the finish beam (including any handicap).

    Sprint regs https://www.acu.org.uk/Uploaded/1/Documents/2018 Handbook/ACU-HANDBOOKhillclimb-and-sprint.pdf

    Drag regs https://www.acu.org.uk/Uploaded/1/Documents/ACU Handbook 2017/ACU HANDBOOK_drag race.pdf

Sprinting can take place on a single or double lane track as it is the fastest of your six runs that counts. So it doesn't matter if you are lined up against a Nitro burning supercharged bike on your FZR. There is nothing wrong with the timing slip, the time of the run starts when you break the beam not when the green light comes on.

I am try to get hold of a video of the FZR off the start line but the one my mate took is 23Meg and he cannot email it to me. We are working on it.
The video above only shows 3000rpm.
