Mine was from an 88 3LN1 if I remember correctly..

This will be the correct kit as the FZR250 3LN1 has the same part number caliper...but I will check before I order it

I just checked and the part numbers are different but the pistons, seal kit and pads are the same... good enough for me.

So, after looking up all the part numbers and checking on Megazip the pricing for all the engine and gearbox bearings was A$495.00 including freight from Japan and GST.
So I sent the list through to Trooper Lu and in about 15 minutes I had a price back of $329.00.
I will talk to them tomorrow as I may yet be able to source a couple of them from Bearing Suppliers and I might save a little more.

Spilt Blood flow coated.jpg Finally I am home after a few weeks in hospital... I am not ready to get back into the SRX just now but I do have a heap of items that were delivered while I was in hospital.. so I will take some pics later on.
I still need to figure out engine and trans bearings so I can then strip back the cases, paint and start reassembly... something that doesnt need me being on my feet for too long.

I did find this picture though.. this is the same colour I am painting the SRX and I could only dream of it coming out as good as this.. but it is just such an amazing colour.

    It's an awesome colour,
i'm interested in why they've remasked the car to put the clear coat on though?
There's no Spilt Blood on any of the masking tape.
I'm guessing they have needed to touch it up somewhere, or maybe rub back the clear coat's to flatten it off then given it a couple more coat's maybe ?

That I can explain.. I grabbed the pic from their FB post in which it says Spilt Blood Flow Coated... so yes.. they have flattened it off before hitting it with the Flow Coat.. and I agree.. it is an amazing colour :)

I hadnt had a chance to do any comparisons so thanks for that.. I will compare it to what I already have but looks to be some good savings there.
I have all the seals already.. just the bearings I need now :)

I'm not sure if they're the right one's now, those bearings and price's were for a 1985 XT350

To be honest I haven’t looked at the part numbers as I have had a rough day with the pain.... trying to cut back on the heavy drugs.
These are the part numbers from Megazip. I will try to have a look tomorrow, hopefully I will be a bit better than I am now.

While I am sorting out engine bearings etc there were a few more items arrived while I was in hospital..
Plenty of JB Weld to fix up all the scrapes, marks etc in the Clutch cover.

    UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_1255.jpg

my new 41Tooth rear sprocket to suit the FZR wheel.
    UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_1256.jpg

And Caliper seal kits for the 2 fronts and the rear... I will think about new pistons as and when I pull the calipers down.

Well... after much searching through prices on Motosport.com. and Megazip, Boats etc I still havent ordered my bearings.
While Motosport.com. looked a bit cheaper overall the total soon went to A$480 including flat rate shipping which is still a bit higher than Megazip who are at A$432 on todays exchange rate.
I am waiting on a reply from Trooper Lu on their pricing.. and will decide once I have all the info.
There really isnt any point in getting some from one place and some from others as the freight will be expensive.
I am tipping that it will either be Trooper Lu or Megazip that will win out.

I just decided to look at Impex as @my67xr had some pricing up before.. wow.. they are substantially cheaper even allowing for GST... like around A$100 cheaper.
Has anyone in here used Impex before?

Hmm it would appear that nobody has used previously used Impex Japan.. I may as well bite the bullet and see what happens.. worst case is I end up putting in a Paypal claim I guess.

UPDATE... I have placed the order.. paid via Paypal and actually gained a little in the transaction because it was done in Yen and not US$.. every little bit helps I guess.
Now to see how long it takes to get all the parts and get them here.

I spotted the YZF600 that @kiffsta is wrecking in FB and noticed the handlebars look very much like the SRX400 ones so did a quick search hoping that the fork diameter was the same... unfortunately it appears that the YZF has 41mm USD forks where the SRX400 uses 38mm (same as FZR250) so I cant use them.. May well just have to go aftermarket but I really dont want to if I can find a set of 38mm SRX400 / 600 bars.

I have used Impex in the past with no problems. Seems like a Megazip type of operation that just never gained much traction.

Thanks for the feedback @maelstrom. The pictures of their operation online dont necessarily give you a lot of confidence but there should be no reason why it wont be similar to Megazip I guess.. Seems the Russians are getting into the Japanese Bike parts.
I have always had good service from Megazip with everything I have had so far being legit Yamaha spares.. but these guys were just so much cheaper I had to give them a try.. Who knows... it was done through Paypal so I guess I have some sort of guarantee of service.

I had a message that all my parts were in and packaged at IMPEX. I paid the EMS freight so it it will be interesting to see how long it takes to get here. Shouldnt be any different to Megazip so for the moment IMPEX is proving to be up there with Megazip but cheaper.
