Linkin is spot on with this, one lateral way of approaching this may be to up the current capacity of the transistors if they're available.

I remember when troubleshooting the Fizzer chug that I replaced the capacitors and transistors in the TCI box, it should be simple enough to check the transistors and see if there are higher current replacements available, that way the coils could be wired in parallel for good voltage/current potential at higher revs, ensuring they reach saturation for a strong spark.

    Transistors are relatively cheap

    Just putting it out there

I put what I think are reasonable solutions to this here

    https://www.2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/coil-on-plug-conversions.9631/page-4#post-118294

I am actually keen to give this a whirl and see what happens

That was what I ordered.. it may well be the camera ... I will get to see it Friday week when they release me from this hell hole called Rehab...lol

I just had a good look at the pic and it looks to be painted...so I am not sure.
Either way it looks in pretty good condition.

Reminds me of the last shipment I got from Blair. Items got to Australia quick enough, but then just sat with Auspost forever. Almost felt like I was on a "Do Not Deliver" list!

Busy couple days for the posty, m5 & m6 pan head screws, m5 for the original fairing lugs & m6 for the lugs you can buy on Ebay. Fairing grommets, which is about as close as I can find to the originals. 20181228_114909.jpg Head gasket & fork seals for my bike. Some sanding pads I can use in combo with a drill buffer, & another lot of screen spikes showed up that i recieved 2 months ago already. :dance2: 20181228_115104.jpg

Yep, and there never seems to be any reason. Some customers get their order quickly and others get tormented. As you know we all but banned sales to Canada, but I actually do send to some regular Canadian customers who I know are willing to take the pain. UK customers often get theirs in 6 days, crazy.

I heard back from Ignitech about the CDI but they want me to buy the standard TCI unit. They did offer to wire it for stick coils though. In the end I don't want to worry about that right now so I got a new TCI from Lixianda and rubber boot from eBay. My old one is drowning in some horrible sticky resin that has destroyed the boot and coated everything it was near. I bought direct from https://www.lixianda.com/faq/740.html because I wanted to pay with PayPal.

So, the Lixianda TCI has no hard rev limit?

None on mine on the MC-19. Saw 21,000rpm once trying to beat the R1 at Gunnedah.

Ouch...at least the Ignitech TCI still has the option of a Rev Limiter.

The Honda made no complaints, but I won't be doing it regularly. That bloody R1 is hard to beat but I make him earn it.
