Not yet Mike. Plan to run it first and sort any problems then work on performance.

Look forward to more info on your mods, disc valve 2 strokes performance mods. will require a different approach to what I have done on my reed valve 100cc Yam.
Keep the progress coming, I love it.

If you are interested in performance, there's a Facebook group called 2 stroke research & development and there's a lot of people doing work on all sorts, including rotary valve engines. Someone might like a real-world test project...

Admitted to myself that I will never get this bike to the salt lakes so put on ebay. Has now gone to live at Yamba, NSW and will be prepared and taken to salt lakes by new owner.

Thats a bummer @Murdo but I am sure the new owner will appreciate all the hard work that went into it..
I guess it leaves you with some more time and space for the Drag Bike and the "Wasp" :)

I wanted to do a speed bike, but it was going to cost a couple of grand without food, accommodation or a bike! It's always a bit heartbreaking not being able to see it through, but hopefully the new owner gets there and sends you some photos and things.

I have a few loose parts sitting around so decided that after selling the blue Yamaha I might make something with these. Front wheel and forks from an Atomic kids dirt bike, Lifan Ducar 125cc 4 speed engine, small tank from unknown origin, headstem and some frame bits plus rear wheel from GN250 Suzuki and a few ebay Chinese specials. Bought some tube and some left from previous build and mounted the bits into the jig.
    Tiny house 037.jpg
Set the front to 32deg and 98mm trail (castor), main tubes of 22x2.5mm from steering head to rear axel mounting plates. Engine support tube of 20x2mm and seat support tubes of 16x1.6mm. Sat the tank and seat of for photo.

Wow! You seem to just wander out to the shed and build a bike, restore something... Meanwhile, I took a day to do seals and oil in only one leg of fork, that was already out of the bike... In 7 weeks I have done what you'd expect to do in a morning.. makes me jealous, and just a little more angry about how little time I get and how slow I am to do anything. But you're also an inspiration; please keep inspiring!

You need to find an old pit bike Daytona Anima 190cc 4v engine to use in that, they're 24hp at the engine standard

you can stroke them out to 212cc as well as fit massive DOHC 4 valve heads.

That's not a stroker, it's a big bore kit, 212cc is just using a new 66mm piston and new 66mm ceramic bore instead of the original 62mm piston and bore.
The Daytona 190's come standard with 4V heads.

I have plans to bore one of my Daytona 190F 4V's out to 252cc using a 72mm piston
But the engine cases arent that strong so may not last too long

But we must get back to the original post.

Interesting info but I will be sticking to what I have, and the 190cc will take it out of the 125cc class this was built for. The new owner can go crazy with the engine.
