Thank you for sharing, gizziracer. (Therapy group group leader)

It's eBay, so the trick is not to get caught in a bidding war, just look at it after the auction ends. But DON'T LOOK AT THE SALE PRICE! The "I only just missed out" trap will lead you to buying rubbish for too much - the bikes are never as good as they look and auction buying is an adrenaline sport. Wow, did that like a recovering addict to everyone else, too?:(

Not really an ebay addict, but most certainly a hopeless spada addict, the last 3 have been "the last one". I took long service leave this year to get back into making artworks, (in a previous life I was a practicing artist), and all I have done is restore those nasty little honda spadas:) Long ago I worked out with ebay to only bid in the last 5 seconds to avoid unnecessarily bumping up the price, I even used to use a stopwatch before ebay included their counter. It was virtually impossible for anyone to re enter a bid in this time but you could still be beaten by the "silent bid" option. Very rarely lost an auction and yes, resulted in so much **** being purchased I was virtually drowning in it:)

The ebay watch list works well for curbing impulses, don't bid, place it on your watch list, then 5 or 7 days later you get the notification that it's ending and usually that leads to a more sensible response.

With two of the same bike does that mean you're going to ride them like roller blades :prankster::prankster::prankster:?

What annoys me with the watch list is that people with high feedback scores who should know better place a dumb bid early and then nothing more... so all the numpties keep bidding until they get in front... some stuff goes for stupid money when it isnt worth it because of that.

No, no rollerskating:) i generally restore them, get them registered, ride them for a while and sell them. I make virtually no profit but at least the bank account isn't being constantly drained to feed the bike addiction. A bike dealer once told me there was no money in motorbike restoration and he was absolutely correct. Unless of course you magically pick a model that becomes a motorcycle "celebrity model" and keep it for years. Wish I had one or 2 of those old Brough Superiors" sitting in the shed:)

Well at least it keeps you occupied and I am as guilty of spending time fixing bikes up for the pure enjoyment of it as anyone else - it does give a particular type of satisfaction and genuine pride

Looks like it could be a stock one that has been drilled to take MX mounts.

Been thinking about doing it to one of mine as a trial to see how it feels

need to have a look at the underside of one to see what is there to work with

They also have a lot of other bike part's and bike's listed too

TS185ER turns over with spark and good compression, carby clean is all it should need to run, tank is rusty. Sold 1980 DR400, motor condition unknown, comes with spare frame with ID plate as roller is missing it. $300

1981 XT250, runs and rides. Will need airbox or pod filter, new fuel tap but good start to a resto. Doesn’t blow smoke, not noisy. $800

1995 Honda CR80R mostly complete, but bottom is seized either in mains or big end. Has hot rods crank, have honed cylinder and it looks okay. $400

1976 Yamaha DT175 rolling frame, has ID plate, plenty of usable parts or chuck a motor in it. $100

1977 Honda CB400 rolling frame (bottom right of collage, is without seat) has ID plate, good base for a cafe racer build. Have more 400 parts that can include for extra. $200

1980 Honda CB250 frame, triples and swing arm and from wheel with two engines that turn over but clearly need work. $250 Do have other CB250 parts I can throw in for extra

. 2 x Suzuki FR80 scooters, both run and ride but one needs inlet manifold from one of two spare motors. Do have NOS airbox boot and oil tank cap. Both are walk in rego with one having original number plate. Lots of parts are still available genuine including leg shield. $650

2005 CBR1100xx Blackbird Engine. Motor has only travelled 13xx kms but has flywheel damage, still lots of usable parts, good short block/donor motor $120

Nice find! heaps of parts there... the only thing I need for my 400 is a front wheel as mine is stuffed, and these ones are unfortunately only the single disc type. Bugger!

They've wrecked so many bike's, probably thinking the purple one was a CB400, it look's the same as the 250 frame

Definitely not an early 250 frame.
He did have a set of low rise bars that looked ok. Depends if they suit wiring in the bars.
I can get new pattern parts for that though
