I fitted up the new (old) Clutch Perch after verbally abusing Previous Owners who use all their brute strength to do up poor little M5 bolts... It took my 1/2 drive with breaker bar to get them un-done...
Plus after looking at the pics of one of the Spada's done by @Gizziracer I bought myself a Bellypan from a CBX250 that will eventually go onto the Spada... seems I cant help myself... Pic below courtesy of Gizziracer's Garage pics.

we stopped at a small bottle shop / shack bar near the nsw / qld border and the owner has 4 very nice bikes on display

I am absolutely stuffed , we did just over 400kms , time for a cold one.

Finally cut up the old CB400 frame to get the lower rail for my CB400 and the head stem will go to @Jethalter for his build...
Then stripped the CB250 Cafe Racer.. engine will be stripped to check it and I will sell the frame off to some budding Cafe Racer builder.
Easy way to get the engine out.. lay it on its side and lift the frame off.
    UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_1359.jpg
Only keeping the engine and the rims (plus the tank) of it.. the front end is strange.. the forks are a little long and the top triple is a pressed metal jobby with the fork caps locating the top. Still it will go with the frame.
    UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_1361.jpg
    UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_1363.jpg
The previous owner couldnt figure out which way is the front when fitting the cap on the fork bottom and you have to love the dodgy way they hooked up the front brake stay.

    UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_135c.jpg
    UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_135b.jpg

Frame sitting on the stands for pics... ready for sale.

So a reasonably productive day today... for a change.

I put a little work into the neglected TTR 250, got it to start, but still needs a lot tidying. Been too busy to do much to my own bikes. But I had organised to go dirtbike riding riding. Took a couple a couple of hours to get the bikes going (had bring a second bike for another mate). Only had a few minutes before dark, but it good fun; worth the effort. I need get one bike sorted properly. I'm keen on the KX, the YZ might be too good.

Can't wait, it will fix the frame i have thats missing the neck.
Its the only way to get a 4 cylinder in and out of any frame unless its an across and the frame unbolts.
I did the same thing on my GT550, was so simple to get it in that way and i didn't have to lift 80+kg of engine.

ZXR and CBR have no frame under the engine, fzr has a removable subframe or something from memory. Alloy spar frames make it easier

Nothing under an FZR250R 3LN engine either, 2KR has a removeable engine subframe though.
