Seems reserve is over $1200. At $1275 and still not met. Understandably.

I often wonder why people with reasonably high feedback status compete on price at such an early stage of an Auction... I understand that sometimes people will throw in a Max bid they want to go to and if they get it... they get it but these just going nuts... and still over 7 days to go..Crazy...

I see it is now over $1500 with Reserve still not met... It is a nice bike. but........why not just put it up at the minimum price you want for it.. saves a lot of wannabe's bidding on something that is out of their price range.
They all think they will bag a bargain lol

If you start high then some will scroll past, but if you start low then you can pick up some and carry them higher than they might have gone - I might be talking from experience.

Also, if the start is high and no one bids, you have no options. But if they don't reach the reserve, you can negotiate a deal after the auction. In some cases, it makes a difference to the fees, too.

Yep definitely seen a bit of both. Lot of strategy with online auctions that's for sure. Sometimes I'll put in my max bid early and end up winning, other times I'll jump in with seconds left and roll the dice. Sometimes you win sometimes it just wasn't meant to be. Only thing that makes it worse is when you're bidding on Yahoo auctions and the thing extends the auction 5 mins after every last second bid

That is a cheap VTR! And I was there on the weekend... They were EFI by that model, right? It'd be a good flip bike once registered, or keeper.

Yep, id be surprised if it was available for long.. Its actually so cheap i'd want to do a very careful mechanical inspection and PPSR check before purchase.

Can bring to Adelaide this weekend Photo is when I bought it, I’ve removed the rocker cover to find the cam journals have been ran dry , removed the clutch cover to find the plastic key for oil pump was missing teeth (hence the top end failure) only travelled 36,000km, best to replace the motor as gearbox only selects first (id say it’s jammed with plastic teeth), overall a tidy bike , belt driven and getting quite hard to find, has all road gear and number plate so walk in rego Can get more photos Less
