My body is telling me to stick to the fiddly stuff and stop the hard physical work lately ... Cruiser is going into the workshop t/m for 4 new uni joints ... I aint doin that shite no more! And I gave the boy the 'how babies are made' chat yesterday ... so I think thats enough teaching for this year ...
Ahhh that will take it out of you. I am with you on the heavy stuff. I bought a small block and tackle so I can put engines onto the engine stand. A CB400 engine apparently only weighs 60kg but I ain’t lifting that by my lonesome ever again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

OK, so I'm going to ask a daft question, which will be mostly rhetorical - I am assuming that you didn't get the plugs for the coils at the same time because they wanted you to buy the whole wiring loom for too many $$ Anyway it may be worth trawling through these catalogues http://ishop.cooldrive.com.au/catalogues Pages 161 - 260 in this catalogue might be useful, that's actually pages 176 - 275 in the document http://ishop.cooldrive.com.au/catal...s-automotive-electrical-accessories-catalogue
Nearly all of these COP coils are sold (eBay etc) as just the coils. It would make it much easier if they were sold with the connectors and wiring. I think even the ones @kiffsta was/is selling didn't/don't have the wiring/connectors.
Yep and its hard enough finding a set of 4 coils that arnt junk , rusty or selling for stupid money Findapart ... Hi, Thanks for the email We have one in stock $65 each from a EX300 Hi, can do a set of four Ninja 300 coils $150 delivered. hi can supply 300 ninja ignition coils $65 each thanks $300 for 4 Regards, From the EX300A $75 each We can supply a pair of stick coils for $110.00 inc GST, Plus postage. Ill bide my time
Yes, that's understandable as no-one want to hack up a perfectly good loom, what is surprising is that the plugs for them are seemingly so obscure - that's the sort of gotcha which getsya when you least expect it - I know because it happens to me all the time
FWIW - I've had post arrive from the UK & Europe so much faster than items arrive from China and Hong Kong it's not funny
BINGO - a whole $5.40 each https://jaydeeautocables.com.au/collections/connectors/products/japanese-coil-pack-plug
Found these on ebay https://www.ebay.com.au/i/283345970159 I'd say a trip to the local wreckers that dismantles anything Ford might be in order - I'd take a look at the BA Falcon downstairs in a jiffy except that removing the coil cover on the rocker cover is a long winded PITA and accounts for most of the time it takes to change the spark plugs Looking at these coils, it seems to be the same plug https://www.ebay.com.au/p/18032592877?iid=332362248997 OK I just checked the BA Falcon downstairs - same connector - now that should open up a whole universe of options - one gotcha though, don't know if I'd get them from a used car as they MAY be brittle from the heat cycles and the crimp inserts should be available from Jaycar or the like - they may not be hanging on the wall with the other crimps but be part of a plug set amongst the various connectors
OK so I've got a question in amongst this, where have you scooped up the data relating to the resistances of the various coils? Is it just sheer persistence on the net, cross reference models, then search service manuals, because I've tried three or more Denso sites and they're awful and just putting any of the various Denso part numbers into google + the word resistance seems to go nowhere useful
Nope - definitely different, check how there's slots in the side and nowhere for the key on the top of the coil to go These look to be correct https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Set-of-...nector-Plug-Barra-Ignition-Bosch/202405419195
Short answer...the individual bike manuals give you the primary and secondary figures. Denso make COP's to order, so going to them is pointless (I tried). I was chasing the shortest COP they made, but they had no idea.
Ive looked at so many of the little fukkers and comparing, I needed some backup eyes .... they all started looking the same
I bought my coils from a company called “NP Boosted” and they come with the plugs and a length of wire.
