Info My ZXR250C Progress/Problems

    Also just incase someone finds my stupidity funny I accidentally "stalled" my bike in traffic in the city today. Couldnt start it up. Panicked and pissed off many drivers. Rolled onto the footpath to realise that i accidentally hit the kill switch while i was looking at something at the lights.....

    Hey all just an update. After getting my spare key from kawasaki I gave linkin's suggestion a crack and used some lock lubricant (couldnt find that PTFE stuff anywhere) and it worked like a charm!

    Hey all my choke lever is a bit stiff and could do with some lubrication to help it move better. Would it be safe to spray a bit of WD40 around the choke lever or would this damage stuff in that area?

    You need to take the choke cable off and lubricate it... the lever just provides mechanical advantage

    WD40 doesn't do anything for lubrication. Inox MX3 is what I use, or the Inox with PTFE (teflon), the red grease stuff

    Also on another note im looking buy a set of clutch/brake levers. Would levers say for a ninja 300 or another bike fit? Any recommendations on places to shop?

    That's a nice looking zxr mate.

    Apologies for bumping this old post.
    I was in search of an easier way to remove the spark plugs too... after just attempting it on my zxr250a.
    I couldn't believe the spot they're in. I will attempt again tomorrow. Probably need to rig up some sort of device to pull them out.

    Easiest way is to unbolt the radiator, from memory the fairings need to come off though.
