If I didn't know better, I'd swear risky had been around sabotaging your project Did you turn the fuel off, just wondering. Seems strange that your new fuel lines should go hard so soon. Mate, can only get better from here on in.
Well I was sitting next to him for a few hours last night Fuel was off but its mainly coming from the tank outlet Oh and the tacho has stopped working also ....
Make that 20 mirrors , run over 10 black cats and walked under 5 ladders .... Heres another to add to the list ... That box that I had to retrieve from the post office .... it contains a new toolbox for the shed (thanx Santa) .... its only a Chinese cheapy ..... but guess wat? ... its damaged .... dinged on one of the front corners
grey my bike has caught your fizzer syndrome! one step forward 4 steps back haha, however Found the problem i took the carbs off and noticed the vacuum hose for 2 and 3 was off and the vacuum hose for cylinder one was cracked so i reckon the bike didn't have enough vacuum to get fuel. so i put them back on while i had the carbs off i examined inside and they wernt dirty i decided to gamble on the pilot screws and get them to 2 1/2 turns they were all so out of wack one was 3 1/2 another was 1 3/4 ridiculous! derusted the tank and here is where i run into some issues i now have a pinhole leak And the petcock is leaking also
bummer about the tank mate, maybe bog the leak with resin? but the hoses will help and setting the pilot screws to stock helps a heap too - that's exactly what i did with my zxr... bike may even smoke less now running correct air/fuel mix
Today, I have sorted electrical gremlins and replace the spark plugs. It looks a lot neater under the seat now, nothing visible bar the battery. Then I took the little toy out for a test ride and a well deserved coffee or two. Next will be to check the exhaust for leaks and paint black. But that will be when it gets a little warmer here.
it will be! mate, my zxR went from 7.0l/100km down to 5.5l/100km... and it gets even lower when i ride er *slower*
Yea its only a Chinese cheapo ...so the drawers arnt super smooth like the quality ones and all that but I cant afford those ones ! Theres a few on ebay but this was on special so I had a word to Santa for an early present.... http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/8-drawer-lockable-tool-chest-wheels/ Having tools all together will be the great.
Took my three bikes home from the show, into shed and covers over, laid on floor for an hour to straighten back and had a sleep to recover from weekend.
I must admit, I have been looking for a new tool box lately, till I saw the price!!! I'll be sticking to my 30 year old battered one for now.
Honestly Grey is this tool chest worth getting, I've been saving up to get one for Chrissy but they are like $400 and I don't wanna pay that.
