I run standard gearing on the ZXR (14/48) and I'm either close to the limit in 3rd or just changing into 4th. Thinking I might go to 13T front to see what affect that has. My fastest speed over the 1/8 is 121kph, but can't recall if it was in 3rd or just into 4th.
This question from my earlier post was probably lost in the ongoing sprocket discussion ..... @my67xr or anyone?
YEAH, NAH - we're known as White Man Magic Masters, I do not know the "electrical honky's" to whom you refer - so I'm just going to ignore you until you show us the respect and adoration that we deserve
No Jaycar dont keep them, i don't remember seeing them anywhere other than our Yamaha's either I had a couple of spare harness to coil lead's from some old coil's, so wired them up to the COP loom, they use the standard Narva type spade terminal's. And you can unclip them out of the plastic holder's and clip the new one's in https://www.jaycar.com.au/6-3mm-non-insulated-spade-connectors-pk-10/p/PT4630 Using the old coil plastic's plug's and socket's allow's me to substitute the original coil's back in if i ever need to And it make sure i connect the coil's the right way around so the right spark plug's fire at the right time, eg yellow to yellow, white to white (white plug's are hiding below the yellow's)
There's a few good choices amongst this lot - the first one on this page https://www.jaycar.com.au/outdoors-...ve-connectors/c/1CH?q=:popularity-desc&page=0 https://www.jaycar.com.au/automotive-waterproof-plug-socket-set-2-way/p/PP2110 Third one on this page https://www.jaycar.com.au/outdoors-...ve-connectors/c/1CH?q=:popularity-desc&page=1 https://www.jaycar.com.au/waterproof-deutsch-2-way-connector-set/p/PP2150 That particular plug for the coils, would be available some where - you could trawl the rs components website - potentially easy, possibly very difficult, you know how it goes
Yep been trawling for 2 pin connecters inbetween trying to unclip the terminals out of the connectors ... both unsuccessful initially The only basic twin seems to be this style and I did see those 'waterproof' ones and thought just replace all the connections ... but then finally got the spades out ..... so just using new spades on the new wiring into the old connector sounds the simplest ... I think I even have some I knew u would relent soon enough and post ..... and I gave u a promotion for your endless contribution to the welfare and well being of your fellow bike enthusiasts Yep exactly my thoughts too
Well spotted ... I just saw oil there and didnt look much further as I had just spent hours looking up the Daytonas arse And the bike is on the stand so the oil would be all down that end So much power down the drag strip the bolts are falling out
2 actually .... and heres why ... I removed the fairing bracket ages ago .... Needs some fresh honey I think
Ill have to see if Ive written down the last change on the whiteboard ..... a weekend at the drags might equate to a thousand ks on the road
Brushed off the cobwebs on the beast as it needs to now be recalled into the drag racing team .... and yes there really was cobwebs Yes I dropped the oil in July 2020 and its been empty ever since ..... and never been started with the COPs ..... Litetek cooling hoses untested Time flys when your having fun ..... So the Dodgy Bros were passing by so I got them to help me install the preloaders to help with those jaw dropping launches on the drag strip (I need more front pin stands)
They are a pig to get in.... you think you have it and nope... you dont... it would be even worse in the bike... The one I did was clamped on the bench with the use of a vice and timber v-blocks. Oh... I just realised I have set of those coming for the SRX forks... might need to do some weights... lol
I realised I hadnt loosened the top pinch bolt so had no chance .... after I did that it went first go .... but I had 20 practice goes before that
Soaked the fuel level sensor in kero to clean it out .... oil light was always on Modded the air box to get more air at 200kmh Change in exhaust and a trillion other things that were needed to be done
