Hi everyone! I just bought two CBR250Rs in boxes. One MC19 and one MC22. Perhaps I'll have 2 MC20.5s when I finally get them back together!

Been racing 2009 Ninja 250R with AFMracing.org for past 3-years. So much fun! Been riding my CBR600RR less and less.

    Welcome to the forum
    I think you've typed CBR600RR in the first line instead of CBR250R / CBR250RR
@GreyImport might change it for you ?

Hi @DannoXYZ , yep little 250s can be a lot of fun on the track. Especially ones that are shorter and twistier.
long straights can be a bit painful when the bigger bikes go past you like you are standing still.

    Peter.

Thanks for videos! That's so awesome you have such large fields!!! What fun!

250 fields here have been dwindling last 3-years from 15 entries my 1st year down to 2 last year. This year, they've combined all 250s into 350-Superbike, did away with 350-Production as well. Good news is we get larger fields, bad news is my Ninja 250R is dead last for power-to-weight. :(

Yeah, I have SO MUCH FUN passing up bigger bikes!

Here I am at Laguna Seca, one of my favourite tight & twisty tracks. I start out in B-group in morning to get warmed up (go out 1st lap little too fast). Have some trouble passing guy on 600, took couple laps to get around him. He passes me on straight, but I finally get around him for good.

After lunch, I move up to A-group with my mate Steve on Ninja 300 (skip to where he passes me @ 6:12). We get caught and passed by 1000s easily, but they don't quite blow us off track.

That looks like pretty good going on a little Ninja.
You must have bigger balls than me, and a few less years I guess.
I chicken out on the fast turns and wash off too much speed.

Thanks! heh, heh... I'm 53 and come from 15-years of bicycle-racing (TdF style). Love being elbow-to-elbow in pack of 200 going around corners at top-speed! :)

My very first time on track was 3-years ago, took NRS class to qualify for racing-licence and did my 1st race that same weekend! :) Very, very scary, but thrilling and exhilarating at same time! I went off-course in T8 at Sears Point and finished dead last! hahhahah!!!!!! I did end up 3rd overall in 250-class by end of season.

What really helped was just lots of practice. Every other weekend I'd be on track getting laps in and going faster incrementally. Been averaging about 40 track-days per year with 7 race-weekends thrown in.

The practice bit is what we are missing out on currently.

As they say, practice makes perfect.

@DannoXYZ at 62 I have a few more miles on the clock. I have only been riding for 3 years and have had a couple of spills which I have found takes a little while to recover from. Still enjoy my riding though.
