Latest points after the weekend's Assen round of races. I wondered if @Jo Verhelst was in the crowd. About 16,500 spectators attended and riders were very appreciative. Rea was always going to do well at Assen, but the points situation was made even worse by Gerloff doing his best to help Rea win another title.

I was watching that BSB race on cable. On a positive note, during the break, the broadcaster had a great interview with the track announcer that was a really good watch. I forget the guy's name, but his voice is synonymous with bike racing in the UK. A bit like Murray Walker was with F1.

Sad for the 14 year old kid and his family. Motor racing is dangerous.

Max Verstappen would be RIP if he raced in the 70's and 80's. Modern F1 cars are way safe.

No, I have to work most weekends, I miss all the live stuff even on tele, but yeah, I've got to make some money to buy bike parts.

    That's a shame Jo.

Assen is on my bucket list of tracks to go to (as is Zandvoort while I'm there).

I've knocked off a few tracks over the years, but Assen has always had nothing on when I was nearby. I'll get there one day when the World starts spinning the right way again!

I've been to Assen in the past, mainly for Ducati days & Bott & Bears races, Always a nice crowd & fun days even when the weather is not at its best.

Now Toprak has a 20 point lead. I will be tuning in to watch the remaining rounds if I can find somewhere online to watch them.

Thanks again. Well, wasn't expecting that to happen. Even more suspense for the next round.

Well the final showdown at a new track this weekend. Will Rea be usurped? This I want to see. Anyone have a link for free streaming. I though it might be 5 EUR or some such to get the Dorna feed for the last race but you have to buy next year's subscription with it. :headbang:

I'm rooting for Toprak, just because Rea has been so dominate the last few years. Rea always winning made it a bit predictable. I had some real hope when Bautista first moved from MotoGP and was really pushing Rea on the Ducati. Sadly, that didn't pan out for Bautista.
Also looking for a link to the races - would be much apricated :D

Toprak leads FP1 by 1.5 seconds. Rea in 11th. Think he has one hand on the trophy already.
