No point complaining about it as we're all in the same boat.

The other problem is all the flooding between me and Gunnedah. Hopefully the weather outlook improves so Team 2fiftycc.com won't need a boat to get to Gunnedah!

Gunnedah weather forecast seems very much the same as the last meeting other than it being a little warmer.

Do we know how many Team 2fiftycc.com entries there are for the final round?

    Weather forecast looks awesome.

@Murdo Did anyone take any pics on the weekend? How did Mason go? Were there many bikes?

Sorry Frank, been a bit busy with family things.
11 bikes fronted for the Saturday, with one drop out on Sunday so an even field. There was two R1's, Greg with his ZX1400 (he is taking it to the salt next year as he wants a 200mph cap), a Busa, a GSX1100, a CBR600, a WR450 and this used to be a BMW S1000RR. I think he was disappointed when nobody wanted to talk to him about it.
    Gunnedah 30-10-22 008.jpg
Pete and I took our CBR250's and Mason on his DR650.
    Gunnedah 30-10-22 005.jpg
Went well on Saturday with fairly consistent times against a headwind. Pete got into high 9's, Mason and I into 10.0 and 10.1 but could not do any better. Saturday night by the fire.
Sunday with less wind Pete ran 9.6 and I 9.8 with Mason still on 10.0.
Mason and I got run out in first round, Pete made second round but lost by .002 sec.
All good weekend with no broken bikes or bodies.

Thanks Steve. Good write-up. Hopefully, diesel price comes down soon and I can get back up there in 2023.

    As for the S1000RR...why?

And fit some trail bike forks, no rear suspension, car tyre on rear and replace the rear frame with some angle iron to hold a fat rear guard over the car tyre. Don't forget the leather tassels on bar ends. :p

I can't tell if there's a licence plate on that 'thing'. Did he ride it to the drags? I keep asking myself...why? Did he buy a wrecked S1000RR and then thought 'this' was a good idea?

No, it had a plate with full rego. He had ridden it to the meeting, and rode home to central coast.
Didn't ask cause I didn't want to know.

TDRA are having a social end-of-year get together is any of the locals are interested in attending. Always good to support your local drag racing association and have a social beer with fellow racers.

    Hey All,
After following up with the project manager for Gunnedah Airport, the resurfacing has been delayed and unfortunately the airport cannot be used until late September.
On the positive side, they are confident it will be fully sealed and ready for our 28 & 29 October event.
We’ll let you know of any further changes.

I stopped in to have a look on Wednesday on my way home from Queensland and they are still digging it up. They have big piles of stones ready for laying where we normally camp so hope to have it finished by the October meeting.
