Hey guys this is my first post on here, was shown this by a friend. My names Nick, im 21 from Bankstown and i recently bought a 1994 Across GSX 250F. Yesterday i took the bike for a small ride and all of a sudden my blinkers stopped working along with the temperature gauge, rev gauge, and sorry not exactly sure what its called but the little display that shows if the bikes in neutral, the oil light and high beams. A friend came around to look at the bike and believes it might be a blown fuse but im not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated Cheers, Nick
If its a blown fuse and it happens again after u replace ,then u need to find out why its happening ... as in checking the wiring etc for damage, shorting etc or a bad earth
Thank you I'll check it out to see if any fuses are blown. I checked all the wiring and everything was in place but im not sure if something has gone wrong with them. Im hoping its just a blown fuse.
To access the fuse box, you will need to remove the seat, then undo 6 screws, open the storage compartment (box), there are 2 screws that need to be undone, one on each sidewall inside the boox, you will see slits in the carpets where the scews hide, then there should be 2 screws on top of the head stem that hold the box down, then is one on each side of the bike fairings which hold the lower part of the box in, undo them then the box will pivot back towards a the seat and you will see the top of the engine, battery and fuse box.

While your at it, re-do all your earths. disconnect the battery and with all your earthing points on the bike, go over them with a bit of sand paper and the same with the spade connector that the bolts go through, clean the bolts and the connectors
i don't have the two screws on the inside, the first time i lifted the boot i left them out, pain in the ass having so many screws.
Welcome mate. Hmm. It's a bit strange for everything to go at once. If it's a faulty earth or fuse, you'd only have the things on that circuit start playing up. I'd suggest testing your battery, followed by your reg/rec and alternator. It sounds like a power/current problem and due to the number of things it's affecting I'd bet its a bit more large scale than a simple fuse. Be interested to know what you find though. There's some threads on here about testing motorcycle batteries and plenty of videos on youtube that will help you out - you only need a cheap multimeter.
I told the guys that but no one wanted to listen to Damus, I advised him to get some advise here. Like you say it would be weird to have "revs, blinkers, high beam, temp, oil, neutral, fuel ect ect" knocked out by 1 fuse. If the main fuse 25a does take out all systems then the ignition wouldn't be working also right? The bike was knocked over a few days ago, I was thinking it would either be the regulator/rectifier or a relay disconnected perhaps? I said there was spare fuses in the fuse box but my money is on it/they haven't blown.
Hey guys thanks for your help much appreciated I took off the seat and got to the fuse back and a fuse was blown. I changed it with the spare and everything is working again. I'm not sure how long it will last or if there is an underlying problem but for now it's all working. Thanks again!
Good stuff mate, now hopefully that fuse blow was a one-off - not really something that should randomly happen.
