Yea hard to know what the used ones will be like

What about that last one I linked to? .... its new and genuine

Put the superseded part# 32800-22D11 into google and u will see that $175 is maybe not so bad :)

That's what I figured. The $125 one is good but with expedited shipping it probably won't be too much different. 9 times out of 10 I'll run around to save money. This time I feel like just keeping it simple. And want it quick.

Just hoping the new one doesn't fry as soon as I put it in. Planning to check the stator (before putting in in?) and look for damaged corroded connections.. ?

I can vouch for kiffsta's parts *nods* but I would say his across reg/rec has gotta be worth at least 450$ HAHAHAHAHA.

If your having charging problems chance of it being the reg/rec is about 70%, wires/connectors 25%, stator 5%.
I don't often read or hear of stators them selves dying.
Thing I'm still confused about: is the problem that it doesn't recharge while ridding?
Or: Is the battery dying while the bike is off?

As far as the next one "burning out" like the current one potentially did I would make damn sure that the new one is grounded properly.

Another trick to longevity is applying some thermal paste to the back of it where it sits on the frame.

(Kiff's parts are always good & cheap, I've bought some in the past :))

It looks like there's 6 wires there. The one I took out has 5: 3 yellow, 1 red, 1 green..

Shame about the miss match. You can bet the extra black on kiff's is just a ground, red and white will go to fuse 1 and the brown goes to the lamps.
I have some sketchy solder jobs on my bike =p.
I will also note that the RGV reg/rec is excatly the same also if your looking for compatibility.

edit: the 3 yellow obviously go to the stator

Can we test the stator without the reg/rect in place or do we need to replace it with the new one first?
