I was pondering the same issue after I was reading @maelstrom Mikuni jet needle spreadsheet, their system seems to lack some essential elements necessary to make cross referencing possible.

Perhaps you discover two of the perfect carb in a dusty box at the swap meet

You never know what turns up at that swap meet. Last Aussie i spoke to there said it was bigger than Bendigo one, LOL.

I'd like the link to the Yosh carbs if possible, that is actually affordable. Even if Yosh say 45 degrees is maximum on them.

Most CV needles are application specific. They don't make for sale a range of needles like the aftermarket VM's or TM's.

Was the Thai site at $120 mythical ? If it does exist, they'll be the Chinese copies, the two you guys have posted are genuine - with genuine prices.
The FCR's are ideal - but I'm still waiting to win lotto....
Thanks anyway for what has been put up. Very interesting.

@my67xr found the thai site, I found the yahoo japan auctions - I did spend some time trying to find a pair of FCR28's without success.

I did notice that the float bowl section of the ones I posted are not downdraft, I only realised this after seeing some others which can clearly be oriented much steeper

Well, browsing the swap meet today, I think I have what i need - cheap.
A set of MC16 NSR250 carbs. 28mm Keihin downdraft, paired up as close as possible.
    They'll do.

How cheap, you ask ? $20

I thought it was just right....There were 5 large fish boxes of carbs on this stall, they were in the third box....
It's the remaining rubbish from a wrecker that went out of business locally.

Less aussies here this year - our dollar is high against yours at present so there's less in it for the professionals.

Ah, no....we actually had to tip rainwater out of the box....

But don't let that stop you buying a ticket, more $ = more bikes.

I haven't had time to progress the 150 for a while. In my defence this is what i've been finishing for a customer who wants it for the Southern Classic Festival in December.
The brief was - Something different for our pre 72 class.

It's out to 455cc, Web cam and matching springs, bottom end properly prepped incl wider oil pump rotors. 24mm mikunis narrowed and remounted to suit. Dyna ignition.
CB250RS wheels. Z1 front caliper on what i think is a Z650 disc.
Numerous scratch built bits incl the pipes which were an exercise in hydroforming. Yes, they have silencing elements fitted...

Finished and ready to fire tomorrow if the weather clears.

That bike look's very clean, bet there'll be quite a few people looking at it trying to work out what's been done to it and what's factory fitted etc.
Top work on the hydroformed pipe's, they look like they were made in a factory!
I've been meaning to have a go at making some 2 stroke pipe's for a couple of my smoker's.

Thanks for the heads up. Won't be buying at present, I'll get it running on stock valve sizes and see what it makes.
Unsure about the stem sizes too. The GSX250 engine i have here i remember as being 5mm stems. Don't particularly want to pull it out to check...

For those interested in the Honda above. Too much HP for it's clutch so work to do there. plus it badly needs an oil cooler...
Neither is hard to do. Very promising though - it's quick. Pitted next to a Molnar/Mcintosh manx and more pics were taken of the Honda than the Manx. Annoyed the manx owner....LOL.

Bit of an update. Project isn't totally stalled. Still to make rear subframe for the small TZ seat i have. The roller had sat for too long - it's as much restoration as fabrication.
Would also like a 'glass tank top to cover a small in frame tank etc - narrower than the common 400 one..

I also appear to be unable to upload pics now....

You could start a photobucket account, upload your pic's, then copy and paste the image (IMG) code across to your post here , that'll post full size pic's
