    A small parcel arrived today courtesy of @Frankster

    1 only .5mm oversize Piston and rings plus a new OEM Oil filter... looks like I am now committed to building another SRX250 motor... :headbang:
    It doesnt hurt to have a spare motor is the logic behind my thinking...

    Is the SRX250 a 2 valve ?
    Disregard that question, i just googled the part number and saw a 2v piston, but when i went into the site is was a sample pic only .

    What size piston pin does the SRX use ?

    The same size as the XT350, TT350 and TT250 4 valve models... I just checked the manual and it doesnt give dimensions on the piston pin...
    I know it is possible to bore out the cases to take a 350 barrel but it doesnt leave much of a gasket surface... and then you need to use the external oil feed to the head etc... plus the clutch would be a bit weak as well... but it would go well...

    A nice surprise from Japan arrived this morning. Not bad as I only authorized the shipment Monday night.
    I am really happy with the inlet manifolds. They are basically brand new.

    Those intake manifold's have a different part number prefix to XT250,
    51Y v's 42U, i wonder if it's just the vacuum port ?
    Guessing it's for a vacuum fuel tap ?
    I have seen new XT250 manifold's for $11 ea on aliexpress, has the same 42U number on them as the original's
    Not that i need any, min e are like new too.

    Good to know about the XT ones... it wouldnt be terribly hard to drill and tap into one for the vacuum port.
    Might be a good option for @2valve depending on the condition of his.

    A few more goodies for the SRX.
    Some cheap and nasty switch blocks from China and a rear Master Cylinder rebuild kit.
    Slowly gathering all the bits I need so that I can rebuild parts and have everything ready to go...... well that's the theory anyway

    New shims arrived today. Confirming that the 8mm shims from precisionshims.com.au are a replacement for the odd 7.9mm shims in some ZXR250s.

    Probably a few more than I need but hopefully this means I only pull apart the top end once!

    Just had a delivery from Thailand and from China

    Many thank's to @maelstrom, i received some new o'ring's and seal's for my FZR250
    2x seal's for the coolant tube that bolt's to the bottom of the cylinder (go into the oval recess's), and some fuel tap seal's and a tank outlet seal

    And also received my new intake manifold's for the the FZR as well.
    I'm 99.9% sure they are made by the same company (AYS?) that made them originally, the quality look's awesome, and only $50 a set of 4 inc delivery !
    The new manifold's have a number moulded in the rubber along with the cylinder number and 3LN, B2, the original's have B1 91 or B1 92 so i'm guessing they made a second run of manifold's at some stage, and these are them.
    Would be interesting to compare to some new genuine one's too.

    The only other difference's with the new manifolds is they have an M5 vacuum port screw, i will tap mine to M6 so i can use the extended vacuum fitting's i had made a while ago.
    And the flange for the carby to sit into is 10.5mm deep instead of the original ones being 9mm deep.

    One of the cracked manifolds from the set i bought in excellent used condition from ebay Japan, the seller said there was no visible damage!!

    20170828_134247.jpg new rear pads & front dust seals, handgrips, fuel cap bolts & some spring clips 20171003_115012.jpg they sent another bonus set of fuel cap bolts:dance2:, also got screen spikes, voltmeters, kawasaki blank keys & I got some pvc braid to cover the plug leads, its rated at 125deg so I got a few metres of the 25mm also to try over the rad hoses, the hairdryer on high didnt affect it, see how it goes:cool:
