Kinda feel like 'everything' at the moment! Got my 'dream bike' that wasn't (Laro Prostreet), got my learner bike that was a wonderful experience, but not quite powerful enough for my commute (Honda CB125E) and I finally have my Suzuki Across that I did a tonne of research on and will hopefully hold onto for a while. Then, of course, there's my husband's Kawasaki too. So many bikes, so little time!

Ahem. Whelp...I got a fourth bike. Although to be fair (which no-one in my house is being about it! Rude!), I did actually sell one bike first. Then got a shiny new 2018 Royal Enfield.

Let's not get into the fact that there are still 4 bikes at this house...3 of which have been mine...2 of which still are mine...and Mia will always be mine in spirit...and I think I might need another Across. And a dirt bike. Oh! And also, definitely a NC700X. Anyhow, I maintain that I'm definitely cutting down. Very few people believe me. Dunno why? :idk:

Coincidentally I happen to have a trailer. :D Which was fortunate last weekend when the shiny new RE broke down in the middle of the night on my way home from work with just 522km (in total) on the clock. Maybe I do need another Across...

I also have my old Across if you need any other spare parts lol. I’m not sure if there’s any internal damage to the engine but the flywheel is totally screwed haha

Before you ditch your old across, keep the speedo cable, carbs, ignition and fuel pump, all parts that can be troublesome , ignitions are hard to source now

Hi all I've learned much on this site from reading but have never posted about the progress and troubles I've had with my zxr250. They are hard to come across here in Ireland but here is the progress as of now .first is when I got it and the second is what it is now as I am painting it in a friends shop .

    Hey legends,
I’m currently riding a 96 CBR 250RR MC22. This is my 2nd one after cutting my first MC22 and first road bike in half thanks to a nasty crash involving a power pole up in the Adelaide hills about a year and a half ago. I’m looking at possibly setting this bike up as a track toy in the near future. I’m also keen to find some new riding buddies around the Adelaide area who are up for hills cruises pretty often.
Ride safe and keep the sticky side down

Welcome, I would suggest selling the MC22 and buying one that is already 'tracked'.

Why’s that? I’m not just after having something there to be used, I like taking the time to build something to exactly how I want and I like to know no short cuts have been made

Hi. I live in Morgan Hill, CA. I just bought a 1967 Yamaha Big Bear Scrambler at Mecum's Motorcycle Auction in Las Vegas. It's a beautiful example. I don't know much about motorcycles, but I wanted this bike when I was in college. Right now, I'm collecting information on it. I ordered a (rare) copy of the Rider's Manual from eBay France, and I'm hoping this will give me the essentials of how to work the bike. I wound up here looking for how to operate the choke.

Greetings and welcome to the forum, @Murdo is pretty familiar with this era of bike. I used to be but it was a long time ago.

I answered Suzuki as that is the bulk of what I own, but perhaps I should have answered everything!

My go-to bike right now is a 2016 Husqvarna 701 Enduro. If I had to have only one bike to do most anything, this would be the one.

I also have two Suzuki DR350SE, one dirt and one Supermoto. I had these before the Husky. I started with one, acquired a wheel set, got tired of changing wheels, and well...:)

For paved twisties I have a Suzuki Goose 350. It is a Japanese import that is a factory cafe racer that combines cafe styling with a hopped-up DR350 air-cooled lump plus a trellis frame and RGV suspension and rolling stock.

For the days when I feel especially hooligan, I have an Aprilia SXV550. It is insanely fast, but feels like it breaks just about every time I ride it...

I recently picked up a Honda VFR800 ABS from a coworker for a song. I haven’t ridden it much, but I like the V4 sound and the sport touring potential. This one may get flipped before too long.

The reason I joined is that I just bought a GJ72A Suzuki GSXR250 project. You never see these Stateside, so I had to buy. Too many bikes? Nah, just not enough time and storage space! :D

Hi all, I am rebuilding a 1985 XL250 with a CBX MC 12E motor. Have to make a few mods but I reckon it will run ok. Having an electric start will make life easy. No pics at the moment as it is in a million bits but will post progress pics when it starts looking like a motorcycle again.
