Hi, the bike starts and runs OK but midrange is fluffy and it flooded on me today at a junction (had to wait 10mins before it'd go)
    Any ideas?
It's an A model with race exhaust and only a basic air filter sheet. Jets are standard.
    Balanced the carbs last week.
    Thanks.

Also the carbs were rebuilt with nitrile seals.

With the flooding i'd check you needle tip for sign's of being hard, ridge';s etc (needle and seat's)
Also check the o'ring's that seal's the seat's to the carby body's if they use them.

For the fluffy midrange try shimming your slide needle's,
First try raising the clip's to the second notch down and run a .5mm thick shim under the clip to lean it off a touch (sounding a little rich to me)
If that make's it worse then refit the clip to the 3rd notch down and run a .5mm shim under it and try it out again.

    Most good bike shop's would have shim's for the needle clip's, they're usually 3mm i/d with a 6mm o/d and are .5mm thick
If you have trouble finding them most electronic's shop's should also have them

You can get coloured alloy one's too, easy to notice if it's not there.

Thanks. Yes, no notches/clips on needles but I could try shimming for better midrange if this would help .
Pilot screws are standard (2.5 out I think) as I reset them after cleaning.

One assumption I did make was the flooding... It stalled then wouldn't restart and so waited a few mins and was OK. Fuel tank breather is clear

Wind them in to 2 1/4 and see if it helps . It`s only the baseline spec though

Flooding might point the to float height settings, did you check the float height when you were cleaning the carbs?
