    Hello Frankster
Yes, it is a new acquisition to try some 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile sprinting and speed records.
Ellvington York, maybe Pendine but I would really love to take it Bonneville.

What is the drag/speed bike? Some details and maybe a few pics would be greatly appreciated.

Well, strangely enough, seeing Gordon's little race bike reminded me that a certain Mr Murdo has a similar creation that he used to race and has since parked waiting for the right time to bring it out from under the covers. There's a picture of it somewhere on this forum. Gordon's beast is definitely well sorted. Any 2fiftycc 4-stroke that covers the 1/4 mile in 13.6 sec is not to be trifled with. It looks like it weighs less than 100kg, has low unsprung weight and has been built by someone who knows what they're doing (extended forks, tank in frame, engine mods etc). That would make a perfect nostalgia drag bike in Australia.

Thanks for the comments and likes. This bike was built in 1994 and was campaigned successfully by the builder taking several titles over the years. He did engineering work for the Severn Bridge so had the ability to design and the skill to build. I shall look up the Murdo machine and any other technical info re. CB250RS engines I can find. Well done to organisers of this site!

Mine was built as a 'bitsa' from what I had at the time. Yamaha YZ250 engine fitted into a Suzuki TS185 trail bike frame that I had to lengthen by 150mm to fit the YZ. Runs Suzuki wheels, brakes and road bike tyres. I made the small tank, seat, battery carrier and front fairing. Only had one meeting with it and bike ran straight and true but I had wrong gearing and jetting and didn't set any good times.

Crikey! You’ve got some beauties in there to dust down apart from the Yamazuki bitsa. I hope you charge admission to the public to see the display!
I’ve always fancied a road trip on an eg. C90 across the Nullabor Plain to play that par 72 that you have there.
