Just wondering what everyone uses for their rg’s?

Should I just stick with mineral or something fancy? Just thought been older design mineral would be best suited?

Don't have an RG, but the two strokes I own I run on full synthetic and have never had any problems.

Penrite make top quality oils and are an Australian owned company.
You could use either the semi-synthetic or full synthetic MC-2ST oils.
Does your model RG have a powervalve?
If so then a fully synthetic oil with JASO-FD specs contains more detergent and so should keep the powervalve cleaner.
If the bike does not get regular use then a semi-synthetic with JASO FC specs has less detergent and so will provide better protection when bike is not being used.
John Dixon's book is the most recent book about performance two stroke engines and he says that all his lab testing showed that fully synthetic is not needed for an engine using petrol.
I use Penrite MC-2ST semi synthetic in all my two stroke competition and road bikes.
I get my nephew to use Penrite MC-2ST full synthetic in his Aprilia RS125 as per Aprilia recommendations as the powervalve is prone to sticking if a low detergent oil is used.
