Quite clearly has a Genuine Honda sticker on it. Tyga don't make rubber parts. Honda will re-make a limited number of parts given enough requests (some OEM suppliers have forms they send in to Honda, don't see it too often though). Anyway, just mentioning it - Looks like OEM it is!

Okay sorry my bad. I did not see that image. I cannot access the Tyga website and I had to use a proxy. I just saw an image of the part in an unmarked bag.

I have a good 'C' model here. Might have to put it on the queue.

Just so you know this isn't dead. Hope to pour the first MC22 test slider this weekend. If nothing else goes wrong.

Well of course the best laid plans of mice and men, so I am one week late. This is my test pour hence the clear amber kind of colour. I have already started with the black pigmented versions. This is for the MC22. I am so happy that the damn thing fits after all the stuffing about making the cad file from 2nd hand worn parts. Big thank you to @kiffsta for supplying me with those parts by the way.

No worries. First batch of about 6 will be finished in about 5 to 7 days. I will do the web page then and post about it.

Change of plan, as I am want to do. I made a batch but after thinking about it for a while what is the point in duplicating the stupid Honda design. The little rubber pins that Honda use to stop lateral movement do very little except break off. The rear mounts are too thin and split and likewise the front mount. It is fine for Honda because no one cares, but when our product suffers the same fate as the OEM then all the geniuses will be slagging it off on the web of things. Another good reason is that for sure if I just duplicate the OEM product then two weeks later they will be available on Aliexpress for $12.80.
    ChainSlider.jpg
So I have redesigned it to make it to strengthen all these weak areas and will experiment with both an M5 nutsert or maybe a plastic push rivet where those two pins are. I am leaning towards the Nutsert and will test that out next week.
    Cheers

While I agree the alignment pins are of a poor design, if people have use nutcerts etc, it might detract from sales, I’d hazzard a guess that customers just want as close to oem as possible

Is it weird that I like the test pour look/colour?

Nope, I like playing with the 'natural' version.

I am going to use the nylon press rivet doover first. The hole in the swingarm is not located on a flat surface so it would be problematic to use the Nutsert.

First prototype of MC22 slider but still a few bugs to iron out.
Here you can see the shoulder screw and fitment that I designed instead of the Honda rubbish. The mount area is significantly larger in all dimensions. The screw is titanium. I couldn't get less than 20000 made if they were anything else. In the last pic you can see the push rivet I used instead of the small nub that the OEM part has.

    Well I got mine! :)
So here is a correct prototype and there is a bit of moulding flash on there that I haven't bothered to clean off. I made it blue for fun and for me. The blue is quite a bit darker than that, it is just the camera and my bad photography skills. This is Japanese HNBR, the good stuff. The titanium screws and push rivets will be supplied with it. I have to turn the outside of the push rivet housings down to the right diameter. A small batch (with a few blue ones in it) will be ready in about 2 to 3 weeks not withstanding Xmas. They will be normally sold in black only. If you want to preorder you can.

Hooray, I have a chain slider and it is not the useless Honda rubbish.
    Cheers

    Oops!
I had to do a big order of Honda CBR400RR NC29 sliders for customer in the UK and severely underestimated material use. So for the MC22's I am only going to have enough left for 5 blue and maybe one black. In stock in a couple of weeks. Might be the new year before I can get a large run of black done.

@KICKERMAN360 @aky141 I have been in touch with Tyga and we will work on the chain slider for the NSR250 in the new year. Also carb kits.
