    Looking good there @kiffsta
The good thing about the Rustoleum Paint is cheap to re-finish if you chip it etc...:)

She now back as a roller temporarily while I still search for forks , I did find some in the US from franks forks but they are over $700 delivered ouch

Head steam bearings done, triple tree is back in and new bars fitted. I finished stopping the motor today and cleaned up the cases. It is nowhere near perfect as the engine spent a lot of time outside and is pitted , but it is clean and well useable.

I have put a lengthy list of parts together for mr Suzuki to quote on which includes all the seals, bearings and a piston

I finally got a seat , someone mentioned that Thailand has heaps of parts so I tracked down a seller who I have bought a t250 reproduction seat from in the past and he had a repop ts125 seat which shares the same part number as the ts185
$39 USD bargain , it is fair to say that I am Pretty bloody stoked , now to find a rear fender.

Today one of my customers rocked up with the tail light and headlight for it as well.

Rebuilt my carb today , previous pics show she was pretty ordinary , I used a keyster kit which I bought from Motocycle Spares warehouse in Melbourne.

I had a spare jet left over and couldnt work out where it went. After mulling it over for a bit I could see a jet with a rubber seal that went into the float bowl so I pulled out the float bowl bung bolt and the main jet was hiding in there , very weird setup.

I did a wet blasting job for a local engine builder, he took my barrel away to give it a hone ready for my new piston and rings.

Now patiently waiting on parts from Suzuki so I can get the engine rebuilt and back in the frame. My new $8 grips arrived today so I might do some work on the front end.

I know this won’t ever be an appreciating classic , but It will be hoot to fang around in the bush. I recently spotted a ts250 and am thinking that might new the next one to buy for father and son rides, of course the 250 will be for me

sold one a few yrs back , complete and good running cond , will try and track the young bloke down , wouldn't be surprised if used/ abused and sitting rusting away in a shed .. they are a good workhorse of a bike , almost unkillerable if just a bit of maintence is done

More parts arrived today including my seat, piston + rings and all the seals required to rebuilt the engine.

Big thanks to @maelstrom for helping me to get my seat shipped from Thailand to Australia , appreciate it mate

Seat went straight on, it was for a tc125 but it is a perfect fit and the latch works

Made a start on the forks , wetblasted 45 years of grime off then sanded them to remove as many dings out as I could , then wetblasted it again to even out the finish, then some clear coat , looks a heck of a lot better

Forks have come up a treat , my $30 eBay orbital sander with 600 grit paper made short work of the marks , while I didn’t get all of them due to the depth of the gouges , Im wrapped that they now look presentable.

    733A27C4-B54C-4835-B3C5-899A9620801C.jpeg

The next job was to address the chrome work, I was quoted between $300 and $400 for the rear fender , headlight bowl and ears to be rechromed , so I bought some primer and silver paint for $39. I needed to address the rust so I used my trusty sand blasting cabinet and it did a pretty good job at removing the rust.

    F4F2A366-5244-4720-BEB4-A28998D34C54.jpeg 5391715E-1016-49AF-B972-4A126F24AE12.jpeg 64CF6669-7A99-42E2-A9DD-CE27188D0BE6.jpeg 28ACF87E-56FA-492A-83E2-FE3623646049.jpeg

I also inspected and cleaned up my wiring harnesses , most of the tape was falling off so I popped down to Bursons and bought some Narva wiring harness tape, it was pretty cheap at $5.50 per roll. I can’t help but feel it is just 25mm wide electrical tape , but it seemed to do a good job and they look clean and will hopefully last another 45 years. I did find one repair and I resoldered it and used some heat shrink to protect the joint.

Still have not found a front fender , the search continues. Apart from the fender , chain and sprocket , battery and some tyres , I think I have everything I need

I just received a call from the painter and my tank is almost ready

Next job is engine assembly , I wish I had a manual, all I have is a cut away diagram
