Help Waterpipe 1HX-12482-00-00 leak help - FZR250

    Got a leaking waterpipe part #1HX-12482-00-00 its only a hairline crack and wondering if steel weld would fix the problem IMG_20190520_131756.jpg

    I would say it will work for a few day's, but you would be better off trying to silver solder it, but it's still a very temporary repair.
    Best off replacing it with a better one

    Where would i sort a better one or a new one. Are the fzx250 zeal the same

    1937 Royal Enfield 250, CF Moto 250 V5, Honda's XL250, CBR250, FT500 plus a few others.
    Silver brazing or even steel welding will only last for as long as the pipe is sound, and by the looks of the photo that wont be long. Best find a new one.
    Google the part number and there are quite a few listings for new pipes.

    Was thinking of just using this stuff here and packing it on the inside of the lip the Oring seals against

    Tempory at best. Why not fix it properly and then it wont come back to bite you later on?

    Its actually not bad besides that crack. The rust was only normal surface and looks quite new after a wire brushing. Ive tried google with not much luck. Either other of stock or seller doesnt doesnt deliver to my country on amazon

    Then give it a sandblast and silver braze, clean off and a coat of epoxy type paint.
