Have you guys seen this? https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=602970036811716 Sounds like mostly stockish engine to other than having to put bigger bolts in to hold the head down at 30psi and a uprated clutch. They must of fuel injected this surely? https://www.facebook.com/pg/roostersbikeshop/posts/
It's in this thread https://www.2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/turbo-fzr250.10390/#post-121429 Here's the dyno
Ahh ok I didnt think you guys would of missed that. Amazed they didnt really change much of anything internally (or so they claim).
They made 170hp @40lb's boost but the head gasket went They are making the head clamp down tighter and think it may be good for 200hp Some more late night work on the Red Cup race bike! We finally fixed our head lift issue with some monster head bolts and machined cylinders, built a very trick clutch with an rdz lockup and custom Barnett plates....first test on a low boost pull was
So who's going to be the first to do this to a street bike? Turbo's and fuel injection are something im more familiar with. But not on bikes. Would be a fair bit of faffing to say the least. Heres the manifolds I build for E55 AMG's. Building a turbo manifold for one of these would be piece of piss.
Edit: realized the above pic is not the land speed bike as the turbo is mounted different so unless its some weird blow through carb setup it must be fuel injected. The bike in the above pics is just a big dirty carb on the front of the turbo? I guess it makes it simple.
The red one you posted is the land speed bike, it's in a 3LN frame, the picture greyimport posted is another one they built, it's in a 2KR frame So there are 2 of them The 2kr Carby turbo The 3ln turbo Before and during build Monster head bolt's
I do wonder a bit about why they went twin turbo. Seems to me thats just another 20kg of weight and expense they dont really need. Cant argue with people that are winning trophies though.
