Yes, that's my understanding...that 2ms is ample dwell time on our high revving bikes. When I ordered my Ignitech TCI-P4 unit I had to send them a wiring diagram for them to configure the inputs/outputs to match my bike's loom wiring. I haven't run the TCI-P4 unit yet, but I will eventually. I'm keen to see what I can do with the unit.
Ah well if you've got the TCI-P4 unit then documentation should tell you what the acceptable coil resistance is for running lost spark, but they list 1.1 Ohm resistance coils as being suitable so that opens up your possibilities http://www.ignitech.cz/en/vyrobky/accessories/ic/ic.htm Are you going to put a cam position sensor in and run 4 ignition channels?

Good read - Interesting that you can send Ignitech an TCI unit and they can read out the standard map - that takes all of the guesswork out of the stock map. After reading various pages and the documents a few times, the process does seem quite straight forward, but that's in theory at this point
Where did you read that? I just sent them a wiring diagram (for a ZXR250C as we didn't have a ZXR250A at that stage) and a picture of the connectors. If they can read mapping, then I'll send them a ZXR250A TCI.

So what was the verdict with the Fzr250 cop coils? Did anyone work out which ones were the best to use for both fitment and correct resistance for an fzr?
Are you running the the 129700-4400 Denso pencil coil's?? And are you running a resistor or anything with those Coils?

Thanks mate, my new coil on plug coils should arrive next week, may as well change the plugs while I’m balls deep in the ignition system! I wasn’t sure if a different plug was required because of the different coils but the cr8eix is the stock plug isn’t it?
I could say "did you go and see Murdo?", but I won't. I think (and I stress "think" as opposed to "am certain") that these are the plugs you need... https://www.ebay.com/itm/CBR-GSXR-H...S-HONDA-SUZUKI-YAMAHA-SEADOO-R6-/322940112033 They're fiddly and there are little connectors that clip in place, so @Murdo is your best bet, otherwise you may damage the connectors. The connector that wasn't working on the loom I used on your ZXR had come apart due to a poor crimp (done by me).

No probs Chief. I didn't mean to imply inadequacy or anything like that. Murdo fixed my bodgy crimp and pulled the connector apart with ease. I, on the other hand, would have effed it up trying to get it apart. Go you good thing.
Just start teaching your boy to do the fiddly stuff... get him used to using a crimping tool and soldering Iron
