Some bright spark suggested we start a thread about TCI mappings. This thread is for Kawasaki ZXR250 TCI units... I have in my possession a number of accurate mappings for some ZXR250A & ZXR250C TCI units. I acquired these from Ignitech in the Czech Republic. I sent them a couple of TCI units for them to read so I could be 100% sure what the stock units do. I also got them to load one of the mappings onto one of their aftermarket (programmable) units. All of this was/is part of the ZXR250T (Turbo) project @Murdo is working on. I'm more of a spectator than a participant in the project. Following are some mappings for any of you wanting to know what's what.
Your a legend Frank. I think it best to keep them separate as it will get very confusing if they get mixed up.
Seperate threads for the different machines seems like a good idea. Has anyone mapped the CBR250 (4 cylinder) family of engines yet?
Ken (@ZXR Kawasaki) posted some TCI mappings a while ago. They were done by a crowd in Geelong back in 2010. They seem okay, but I can't guarantee anything. Interestingly, the note Ken made on the graphs seems to imply that only the 21119-1384 needs a 10k Ohm resistor. Not sure why that TCI was singled out.
