They're like hen's teeth. If you find any, let me know.

I've bought some chinesium rings, but have been too afraid to use them. I will have to eventually.

@Murdo has used chinesium rings (and maybe pistons?) on a few rebuilds and he's happy with their performance. I just don't trust those folks used the right ingredients to make cheap replacements and that they won't last and I might end up damaging a bore at the same time. I will use some soon as I have an engine with good pistons and bores, but compression was low before disassembly. I will run the engine in as per Murdo's instructions and see how it goes. The Balius rings fit the ZXR250C piston, but I've never tried them. @Unkepttoenails Yours is a C model isn't it? or does it have an A engine?

Mike Norman @Mngforce from G-Force https://mngforce.typepad.com/ has been bringing back extinct parts for greybikes (mostly V4 Hondas) but with most customers wanting 'cheap' and the Chinese competition I don't think he is likely to be expanding the range of rings that he has.

i believe AHL provides factory pistons to yamaha. if that is true i would be surprised if they did not provide rings.

I've gotten some stuff done, over the last few months. Like a ZXR fixed up and roadworthy (hopefully all fixed up) and for sale. The glacial YZ project has the engine all assembled and the frame got a spruce up: IMG_20190712_182318.jpg
Looks darker than the photo, but too pretty and I'm too scared of damaging it. Got a KX 250 going and trying to decide whether to sell or keep it. Plenty of work to be done, still.

Use them, they will be ok. I've got four engines running with the AHL pistons/rings and all have good comps and don't use oil.

I got the KX idle sorted. Fixed up a couple of things on the ZXR, was getting it ready for sale, but I think he's buying my 650, instead.... Also did a little more on the RS125.

Sitting around feeling sore and sorry after some surgery but needed to keep busy so I brought my instrument binnacle inside and finished wrapping it in the Carbo Fibre wrap... reassembled the speedo and tacho into their housings... doesnt look too bad actually. I still need to polish the idiot light coloured lenses and glue them in but I might wrap the spare I have in the brushed stainless wrap I have which is more the factory look... just so I have an option... :)

and a few more pics from the carpark , when I was leaving, I had one older guy come up and tell me I was a lucky bastard for owning a Suzuki Titan, he asked if he could sit on it and get his photo taken, I was like go for it brother.

    that RGV was super tidy
