I bought some bar ends off xcite a few weeks ago but didn't read the note that said the they needed the mounting bracket inside the handle bars and needles to say mine doesn't have them, so instead of buying different ends I've just modified them.
I ground the back off flush and had to file/grind the end of the weights so they fit inside the handlebar (took way longer then i expected by hand a small lathe would have been handy).
I went and bought a couple of rubber bungs and sanded them back to suit, drilled a hole down the middle and shortened them, then just added a washer and nut so they would tighten up like they other style of bar end, worked a bloody treat, also gave the handle bars a lick of paint. looks the goods with some oem grips.
