Updates are in order, so I managed to get the bike licenced, so I have a v5 and the original numberplate.

I have started to put the bike back together, after a bit of fudging with the throttle cable I've got the bike firing up nicely, it's got a bit of a top end rattle which dissapears above a few thousand rpm so I'm thinking cam chain or tensioner... Will sort these in time, am aiming to get it to the "only missing its fairings" stage before too long, am gonna then strip it down, blast it, pai t it and put it back together with a "maximum lightness" mentality... So aly bolts for many fasteners with Ti for structural bolts, might even look to fabricate a braced aluminium subframe, lithium battery and swap any non structural steel bolt on parts for aly...

Also, a mate of mine can make fiberglass panels and fuel tanks... I might throw some carbon fiber at him and see what he can eventually make :D

    Updates!

Air box has been purchased--side note, what a bastard it is fitting the damn thing!

Think the filter it came with was the original 30 year old one!

The bike is almost together though! Needs a few electrics, few fairing brackets and fairings and it will be complete... Ugly but complete!

Yeah the airbox is not fun on the ZXRs. Neither is having to remove the tank to get the battery out!
