Painted some of the c models fairings today finally . Came out pretty good . Colour matched kawasaki green basecoat with 2k clear in a can ontop. Bit of dust in it from being painted outside but eh it's not perfect anyway . Surprised how good it looks considering some parts were destroyed.

P.S they're loosely fitted hence the crappy panel gaps

Got the exhaust in the mail today . As I suspected the end of the headers need to be cut down...not too thrilled...

The A and C models are slightly different, right? I forget how they differ, but I'm sure the muffler mounts on that protrusion differ. Might be the issue with yours?

Nah they're all the same . Have 4 sets of headers off A and c and they're the same.

So I ended up cutting down the exhaust and fitted the new muffler . Sounds pretty nice!

Yes, I'm confused. The one with 4 pot calipers on the front is the perfect one and the other one is supposed to be a paddock bike but Tony got carried away :)

So I manage to use my cousins sandblaster cabinet yesterday. After much degreasing I blasted the A models original engine casings and a bunch of other aluminium parts . I then switched the garnet over to a glass bead and blasted it at low pressure . As you can see they look like the day they were made

    Looks good.
I just had my lower case vapour blasted and I prepped by using aluminium tape and silicone plugs. I will post a pic next week.

Yea probably shouldve masked it off aswell... Hopefully i can wash the oil galleries well enough. Amazing how resistant the parts are to staining after glass bead blasting

Loads of detergent and high pressure water blaster would be good.

Ended up painting the tank . After looking at the paint peeling , rust spots and dents I couldn't live with it (always happens right) got some new stickers made for it , fixed the rust spots and pulled out the 8 dents around the filler cap and one on the side.

Cleared over the stickers so they're never coming off haha

So I've got both side fairings painted and loosely assembled . Starting to look the part now! (Bikini piece not shown)

Kawasaki is running downhill, instead of parrallel to the lower white line, Kawasaki script is a bit too big too ?

But, if I am correct, this is just the paddock bike and it looks great. The crème de la crème is lurking somewhere else. Speaking of which you better run some detergent and a high pressure water blaster through those cases Tony, just to be sure.
