Do all the sync screws (circled in green) have the retaining spring behind them? In your photos there only shows 2/3 and I also have 2/3. When I open the butterfly carby 1 2 3 look synced but the 4th opens much later. Is this how it's supposed to be? (excuse my rookie ignorance)

I have not messed and was careful not to alter the screw settings. Just wondering where the 3rd spring behind the screw is =(

    Cheers

Going by the original part's list the bottom spring for the sync screw's on carby 4 isn't used, they list the bottom spring's as 3 required, part # 92081A

And the butterfly's should all open at the same time

    Bugger...

Lost the spring then. Interesting how this guide has the spring missing also in the photos.
    Wonder how to source one.

    ????
3 screws and 6 springs. There is one extra spring for the idle speed adjust.
92081-1621 is probably available at your local Kawasaki dealer. Would fit 8 billion models.
We include free button head cap screws in the ZXR kit now, and no, you can't buy them at the corner store. In fact you can't buy them anywhere.

Are you missing it also in this photo or did you just not put it in yet?

Well I better source one quick somehow or else that's one wonky carby.

    Cheers

The first picture's are from the original post are from @Th3 Huntsman, he hasn't been on since April this year.

If you are missing that spring then when you open the throttle number 4 carby wouldn't open until the linkage touched the bottom of the throttle shaft arm, causing a delayed opening like what is happening now.
All throttle blade would still shut at the same rate without the engine running, and possibly with it running too but may flutter a bit

In the bottom right corner of this link below is a list of what else use's that same spring,
there's possibly other bike's that use it too and may have superseded to that part number.
So it shouldn't be too hard to find one
