    @Andych what is this "selling" that you speak of? :lolsign:

    I certainly didn't win the lotto, but $100 isn't a big spend. In fact, that's about how much my weekly pay went up: doing more hours, now. I did the big spend earlier this week when I paid for new tyres on the 650, and some other costs. Ouch!

    That's been my experience (with ZXR carbs). If someone would make clear carb bowls for these carbs it would make diagnosing this event much easier. As well as making float height differences visibly easier to check. I know @maelstrom has said it's a big job, so I'm not holding my breath, but maybe with some of the new scanning options and 3D production options it might be something to revisit in the future. $$$ always an issue too. Lectron seem to have clear bowls on all their carbs.

    Definitely the 3D printing is the option for such a task. I'm guessing polycarbonate would be the obvious choice.

    I was sure polycarbonate was NOT solvent resilient at all! Pyrex is where it's at! The other problem with ZXR carbies is when it does overfill, rather than running down outa tube and out the bottom like normal carby, it runs fuel into the cylinder. If you have a ZXR and haven't had this problem, I dare say you haven't put fuel in the tank...

    I have some ZXR carbs here that one of you guys sent to me, and I will be setting up some Nylon soon for Project X that @my67xr and I have been working on. Since I have all that may as well try an iPhone scan and see if I can make the 3D file. If it pans out, I will have a go at printing one just for fun.

    Can you touch up the image to fill in the missing bits, add channels, hollow out?

    Also, back to polycarbonate, most websites seemed to use the same list, but they also seemed to dodge saying whether it was resistant to fuel (given the variation you can get, not surprised).     They list petrol as limited resistant and premium as not resistant. I thought polycarbonate, acrylic and styrene (polystyrene definitely, and therefore ABS) were all dissolved by petrol, but not so much. How good are your local glass blowers, @maelstrom ?

    A set of VTR250 mirrors and clutch perch arrived today for the Spada
    Quick delivery and a good price.
    Really just need to decide if the front disc needs replacing or I risk getting knocked back on the Blue Slip?
    It is right on the ragged edge of minimum size.

    If the disc is near minimum thickness and has a lip on the outer edge, it's time to replace it. It looks heavily glazed as well.

    Yes, it needs replacing. Looks like it will be a MetalGear purchase next.
    Once I do that it should be ready for Blue Slip.
