    thats a shame, a simple part that is not available anywhere.

    Today i fitted the new intake boots that arrive the other day from LiteTek. Amazing piece as per usual. Old ones leave a lot to be desired.
    Also fitted my new mirrors, Sadly they are the 3tj units but will work well enough till i find a nice 1wg/3en1 setup or have some luck one day refurbishing my old ones, tho plastic rot isnt good.
    Still awaiting rec reg, which is stopping me from putting the tank back in, but hopefully the post gets sorted on this, Cheers for chasing it up for me Kiffsta.

    Coming together slowly, i dont mind as i got plenty to do.
    Also brought another across parts bike only cause its local and cheap.

    Here you go. 3tj mirrors on 3en1. They bolt up good. Adjustable is acceptable but not ideal. Still it's good enough for the moment.

    500's arnt a problem as you can see, you can find them oem, aftermarket etc...

    cx650 are the impossible ones to find. not the same as 500. no one makes these worldwide and not available as NOS.

    Yeah, i thought i posted about it.

    After getting a couple of feet flames out of the header from the exup valve area (where it was pooling oil), it was running beautifully with no smoke whatsoever, when i put the muffler back on as i know that has oil in it, it smokes a little puff at high rpm. With some good riding that will clean out.

    It starts super easy, runs smoothly, and sounds very responsive.

    Just taking my time and cleaning things up.

    Ok so after i got new tyres fitted. all i can say is OMFG that is one quick bike. Its like riding a grom with a 600cc motor in it.
    Few things need tweaking and sorting, but yeah its def an interesting bike.

    so just going on cleaning up, thought i'd adjust the exup cables, and low and behold the end was missing, it pulled out from previous owner incorrect adjustment. so i made up a new end for it, put it in, tensioned the cables up correctly. works a treat.

    So i took it for a squirt the other day, not even 800m down the road and pulled the end of the clutch cable at the lever.

    Today i got new cable ends, cleaned up the cable, soldered it back in place. Seems solid as a rock now.

    Whilst getting cable ends, i also got a few more in different sizes, and some universal cable, took the cables out of the exup valve, put the new cable in and made new ends for that also. Seemed to work a treat also, the exup cables are under some heavy tension, but they are holding and have full range of movement just as the servo should drive them.

    But the main thing with the exup, is no more rattle at idle from unable to get enough tension on the cables to hold it in place.
